2.3 R e m o t e Vehicle Tracking & Monitoring Solutions

PCS Technology has been instrumental in developing comprehensive logistics solutions

based on tracking technology. Our solution brings in improved efficiency in customers’ total
outbound logistics. We are the first Indian company to have a live implementation of our
GIS based GPS/GSM Tracking Solution. We have implemented the solution for various
customers in the logistics, Transportation and distribution segment. The application tracks
vehicles anywhere using a Vehicle Mounted GPS/GSM unit. The unit provides location
information to the central control room and the movements of the vehicles are depicted
on a Digital Maps. These locations are

matched against the map data to produce information on each vehicle location, vehicle
information, monitor alarm situations, assistance in emergencies, etc. Our tracking

At PCS TECHNOLOGY we have a fully equipped RF Lab where we offer end to end

2.7 Vehicle Tracking System

The PCS Vehicle Tracking System (VTS) is a fusion of hardware, wireless
communication and software solutions that allows real-time tracking of
vehicles/assets and provides elaborate security and comprehensive telemetric
controls. The Architecture of VTS is using the latest Wireless communication system
for communicating with Vehicle's Black box and provides users, a wide range of
controlling options remotely by click of a mouse.

VTS System Application is widely targeted

for Corporate Enterprises where the
solution is offered in various flavors
depending on the size of the Enterprises.
These solutions are offered as Enterprise
solution, Managed Solution and also as
ASP. The flexibility to easily integrate with
existing back end systems has made VTS

Online Monitoring of the vehicle using

GPS and GPRS technology enables the
customers to continuously monitor the
vehicle to understand the progress
pattern of the vehicle this scientific data
helps in modeling the ETA and
plan/schedule the delivery or manage the
fleet effectively.

The application also provides the

option to analyze the historical data at
any given point in time by using the
History tracking option. The user can
select the time band or trip to analyze the
data, visualize the route traversed.
The populated visual data can provide
valuable information on the route taken,
destination covered or halts locations.

Standard set of reports graphs and analysis that are regularly used by the customers
across transportation vertical are built in as part of the solution. How ever the customized
reports are developed and integrated with the solution on cased to case

basis. Standard reports like Activity report, speed graph, stop report, trip summary report,
Speed and stop violation report, total distance traveled reports help in controlling the fleet
with scientific approach.

communication. The vehicle tracking
system also capable of two way voice
communication where in users can
communicate with each other at any given
point in time.

Get Latest Position Online tracking page shall display the latest vehicle location
on interactive map. Data shall be updated every 2 min when
the vehicle is within GPRS coverage region.

Summary Report The users can generate the vehicle activity summary report
to understand the vehicle location during the beginning and
