Should you be elected, what are three specific areas youd like to change, address, improve or further research, and how specifically would you go about it?:
When I am elected I want to:
1. Promote economic growth and opportunity for everyone; 2. properly fund the schools and make college and vocational education affordable; and 3. make government transparent, accountable, and fiscally responsible. Ohio has the key ingredients for economic growth which include a developed infrastructure, an educated and trained workforce, and access to business supply chains. These ingredients are attractive to businesses and to increase the rate of job growth I would support the development of Regional Industry Clusters and Regional Skills Alliances. These programs are intertwined to use incentives to promote the growth of business around the state and to encourage employers, public agencies, schools, vocational training, and labor unions to pool their resources to ensure there is a properly trained workforce to fill the skilled positions needed by business. To provide this skilled and knowledgeable workforce a quality education is essential. This in turn requires proper funding for our schools and affordable college tuition. Finally a transparent and accountable government will let the taxpayers know how their money is spent and who receives tax exemptions, which will force the government to be fiscally responsible. ___________________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________________ Whether for past accomplishments or future goals, why should voters elect you?
I ask the voters of the 55 th District to vote for me because I am focused on finding solutions to problems facing the district rather than adhering to an ideology. From my experience as an officer serving in Iraq and as a city and county prosecutor, I developed the ability to negotiate and work with people, to quickly identify problems and needs, and to find solutions. I want to use these skills on behalf of this district, to find common ground with the interests from around the state so we can create legislation which benefits everyone. ____________________________________________________________________________________
