SENIOR AUTOMATION ENGINEER

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:
HND/B.ENG in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Minimum of 5years practical experience in related position
Proven knowledge in instrumentation, S7 PLC programming and analytical
skills
Strong knowledge of ECS software and HMI maintenance will be an added
advantage
COMPETENCIES/BEHAVIOURAL REQUIREMENTS:
Leadership and communication skills
Ability to analyze process records and create report
Knowledge of HMI software, industrial computers and networking
Ability to work under pressure and work extra-time from time to time
Co-ordinate team work
Ability to maintain, repair and adjust/calibrate electronics instrument in the
plant
Motivate his/her personnel, coach and develop team members by giving
feedback on the work done
Access his/her team, propose training plans to ensure the teams
development

REPORTING LINE
The Senior Automation Engineer will be reporting to the Electrical and
Instrumentation Manager







MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
Ensure proper compliance with the rules and safety procedures, ISO and the
environment
Co-ordination and integration in a multi-disciplinary manner with those
involved in project activities to ensure compliance with the engineering
standards and the relevant protocols for the FAT(factory test) and SAT(test
in site)
Assurance of the correct protection and alarms for plant equipments
Process optimization and continuous improvement in the operation
Analyze and monitor the performance of infrastructure components control
system
Ensuring the development and updating of the backup of all information,
physics and electronics, and the plant control system
Keeping the historical failure of the automated systems of the plant with
good quality information
Maintain current plans and diagrams of the control system
