2012-13 Priority and Focus Schools List

Florida's approved Elementary and Secondary Education

Act (ESEA) waiver requires the Department of
Education's website to maintain a list of schools which
are designated as "Priority" or "Focus" schools.

Based on the requirements of the waiver, Priority
schools are those schools which received a school grade
of "F" for the most currently reported school grading
period, and those schools which are currently
implementing enhancements under a School
Improvement Grant (SIG) from the United States
Department of Education. Focus schools are schools
which received a school grade of "D" for the most
recently reported school grading period, and Title I
schools with a graduation rate less than 60% that
received a school grade of "C" or higher and which are
currently not recipients of the SIG grant.
