2015 CWA LOCAL 1000 NOTICE OF ELECTION

FOR OFFICERS, CHIEF STEWARDS AND STEWARDS

For the 2015 election, the nomination period was from October 1, 2014 through October 20, 2014. The
CWA Local 1000 Election Committee reviewed all nominations submitted and confirmed with each
candidate they were interested in serving in the position they were nominated for. If they advised the
CWA Local 1000 Election Committee they did not want to run for a position their name was removed
from consideration. There were several instances where nominees were considered elected by
acclamation as there were no other candidates nominated for the position or the total number of
nominees did not exceed the total number of positions available.

The Secret Ballot Election to determine who will be elected for these positions will be conducted
electronically by BallotPoint, a certified US Department of Labor contractor. Voting instructions will be
mailed to all CWA Local 1000 members on November 7, 2014. The voting instructions will include an
activation code that can be used by members to vote by phone or internet. They will receive a Voting
Identification Number (VIN) and a Personal Identification Number (PIN) that can be used to log in to the
BallotPoint voting system at any time, even though the activation code can only be used once.
For the 2015 election, the election period will be from November 14, 2014 at 12:01 am through
November 30, 2014 at 11:59 pm. The CWA Local 1000 Election Committee will meet on December 1,
2014 and will issue a Tentative Certification of Election Results.
