LICENSE TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE

For Standalone Programs using a Computer ID key for locking

Use the following steps to resolve the License Not Found message.
The installation CD-!" of C#$ software contains a %& da' trial license. This license is
automaticall' copied when the software is installed. This allows immediate use of the program
prior to o(taining a permanent license. The trial license can (e used on an' computer (ut it will
onl' (e good for %& da's from the da' it is first installed. $f 'ou have not received 'our
permanent license then it is possi(le that 'our trial license has e)pired.
The permanent license* which 'ou re+uest from us* will onl' wor, with 'our specific Computer
$D ,e' -C$D ,e'.. The trial license and the permanent license (oth have the same file name
lservrc -without an' e)tension.. To get more information a(out 'our license run lsdecode.exe
located in the program folder. The program folder is* (' default installation* defined to (e
C/01rogram Files0Computers and #tructures0#213&&& -or 4T25#6#2F46#ection 5uilder or
C#$C!L.. This will (ring up a D!# screen as follows/
The License T'pe should show Normal #tandalone. $f it shows Trial #tandalone then 'ou
are still using the trial license and 'ou should contact us at -78&.9:7-38;; or
license<csi(er,ele'.com.
Ne)t* chec, the 4)piration date and 'our C1U cloc, to confirm that the license is still valid.
Ne)t* ma,e note of the Client =8 loc,ing code and chec, that the Loc, code depends on shows
#entinel Computer $D. The loc,ing code must match the loc,ing code of 'our C$D ,e'.

The most common reason the license is not found is that 'our computer does not recogni?e the
C$D ,e'. To chec, this* remove all hardware devices e)cept the parallel port C$D ,e' -or the
U#5 C$D ,e'* depending on which was sent to 'ou. and then run WechoID.exe also located in
the program folder defined a(ove. This will (ring up a window as follows/
$f the Computer $D chec, (o) is gra'ed out as in the a(ove e)ample then 'our computer cannot
recogni?e the C$D ,e' and 'our license won@t wor,.
The #entinel #'stem Driver necessar' to recogni?e the C$D ,e' is automaticall' installed when
the C#$ program is installed from the CD (rowser. $f the program is not installed from the
(rowser (ut run as #etup.e)e then 'ou will need to install the #entinel #'stem Driver manuall'.
The installation for it is located in the Ae'Driver folder under the C#$ program folder.

emove an' U#5 ,e's 'ou might have attached to 'our computer and then dou(le-clic, on
setup.e)e to install the driver. This is a one-time installation. Bou should not need to perform the
installation again unless 'ou uninstall it. $f 'ou get no error messages* re-(oot 'our machine. The
setup is now complete.
un WechoID.exe again -re-attach 'our U#5 ,e' if 'ou have one. and chec, whether the
Computer $D (o) is now availa(le. $f the computer $D ,e' chec, (o) is still gra'ed out then tr'

$f 'ou have a parallel port C$D ,e' and the following screen is displa'ed* then the port is not
configured correctl'. Tr' the following to configure the port.

Clic, the !A (utton and the following screen appears. $t shows that a User Created port has
(een added at address %;9.

Now run WechoID.exe again and the Computer $D chec, (o) should (e white -ena(led..

Confirm that the Code num(er shown at the (ottom of the window is identical to the Client =8
loc,ing code shown from running lsdecode.e)e previousl'. $f the two num(ers are different or
the chec, (o) is still gra'ed out then email us at license<csi(er,ele'.com and include a screen
capture of 'our lsdecode.exe D!# screen and WechoID.exe window.
