Congratulations Andrew. I was at Richie Knucklez 3 weeks ago when I played

some Galaga with Jon Klinkel, cool guy.
Now we need a 'Single Ship/No Dual Ship' track. I did that last year for awhile,
because when I would play 'Fast Fire' mode, I ended up shooting my captured
ships by accident.
Here are my best scores with no dual ships:
Fast Fire: 3,919,940 [Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga: Class Of 1981]
Normal Fire: 762,410 [4-in-1]

MGM sent a Galaga machine to Matthew Broderick for him to practice prior to
shooting the movie WarGames. He practiced for two months and the Galaga
arcade unit makes two appearances in the film.
David Lightman (Matthew Broderick), a young computer genius, displays his

Big congratulations go out to Andrew, for sure. He's worked hard to make
that score, and really pushed it incredibly far. And, as is many times the case,
you guys heard it here first. As noted in this posting, Andrew beat the old
record (3,275,720) on his first ship, and continued well past the mark on the
same ship (to the tune of about 1 million !). No disrespect to Phil Day, of
course - I'm just generically reporting the facts of the game.
Andrew told me he's also possibly going to be working on topping the
marathon score. It would be nice for him to own that mark too, and be the
top overall Galaga player in the hobby.

By "single ship", I presume you mean either never letting your ships get
captured, or shooting your captured ships when they are. As for lives setting,
I'm guessing factory default or 20K/70K/70K.
I think based on this that I would find 762K hard to match on normal fire. I
should be able to score 4M on fast fire.

Hi Richard,
Yes, I didn't allow any of my ships to be captured. The settings on the 'Class
Of 1981' & 'Pac-Man 25th Anniversary' machines are 20K/60K/Every 60K. I
don't have access to service mode to change it to 20K/70K/Every 70K, so I
can't submit any of these attempts.

congrats Andrew!
the single-ship track sounds very interesting...never allow capture of the duel
ship..and if it happens you can not fire and must sacrifice the 1 ship.
it would be interesting to see if anyone could get 1 million via this track....very
tough..especially given with single shooter you likely do not get many points
on the challenge stages as you would with the double shooter.
