Introduction
Purpose Install the Multilanguage features to Java on the Windows platform

Scope If there are some unrecognized characters in the DAP HMI
configuration to Windows system, real time HMI pages will not open on
the Windows platform. The usual scenario is that an error message
window (HMI is null) will pop up after running the real time HMI with
unrecognized characters (ex. Different language platforms).

Since the DAP HMI is designed based on the Java Platform, thus, as
long as the Java is compatible with multiple languages, HMI will run
properly. Generally, multi-language package comes along with Java
installation file, but is not a default option when user installs the Java
environment on the Windows Platform.

This application notes focus on how to install the multi-language
package for Java on the Windows Platform.

Platform This Application Note is applicable to the following DAP hardware
platforms:
a)
ALL

DCM (500, 520)

GE V40

SEL 1102

EKF

DAPmini

b) DAP Version DAP4
c) LINUX Version _____
