Mahinda's 'Baiya Budget'

aimed at winning
elections!

The stage was set for a Presidential Election in January next year by President
Mahinda Rajapaksa, who presented a budget full of goodies to the public sector, with
a 'sall carrot' to the pri!ate sector eployees who were gi!en an increase of Rs
