1.1 CRITICAL INGREDIENTS NO. CRITICAL INGREDIENT 1. Product name NAIZ Poultry (Chicken) Sausage-Jumbo Hotbock Black Pepper 16 Inch Description/ Issue The ingredient to make the sausage is from halal source that approve by JAKIM. The halal logo is also originated from JAKIM after checking halal logo at Halal Website. 2. Product name Palmers Cocoa Butter Description/ Issue The ingredients to make cocoa butter is from the extracted from cocoa bean. All sources from plants is halal. The logo is from Australia and certified by JAKIM. 3. Product name Gourmet Chef Streaky Beef Description/ Issue The bacon is from halal source that is cow. The cow is follow slaughtered according to shariah law. They have certificate from JAKIM for the slaughter. The logo is JAKIMs official logo and the cow is inspected by Veterinary Malaysia. 4. Product name AyamLikes (Fresh Chicken) Description/ Issue The chicken is follow slaughtered according to shariah law. They have certificate from JAKIM for the slaughter. The logo is JAKIMs official logo and the chicken is inspected by Veterinary Malaysia. 5. Product name Jimat Jaya Duck Whole Leg Description/ Issue The duck is follow slaughtered according to shariah law. They have certificate from JAKIM for the slaughter. The logo is JAKIMs official logo and the duck is inspected by Veterinary Malaysia. 6. Product name Ralphs Variety Beef Description/ Issue The variety beef Australia is from halal source that is cow. The cow is follow slaughtered according to shariah law. Their beef certified by Islamic Co-ordinating Council of Victoria. Islamic Co-ordinating Council of Victoria is recognised by halal JAKIM and it is also same job scope like Veterinary Malaysia and their inspected is certified by Malaysia Veterinary. 7. Product name Al Hilal food Processing Minced Beef Description/ Issue The minced beef is from halal source that is cow. The cow is follow slaughtered according to shariah law. They have certificate from JAKIM for the slaughter. The logo is JAKIMs official logo and the cow is inspected by Veterinary Malaysia. 8. Product name Lucky Food Processing (Chicken Frank Valley Farm) Description/ Issue The chicken is from halal source. The chicken is follow slaughtered according to shariah law. They have certificate from JAKIM for the slaughter. The logo is JAKIMs official logo. 9. Product name Prima Bagus Chicken Toast Sliced Description/ Issue The chicken slice is from halal source that is chicken. The chicken is follow slaughtered according to shariah law. They have certificate from JAKIM for the slaughter. The logo is JAKIMs official logo and the cow is inspected by Veterinary Malaysia. The chicken is halal animals based on MS 1500 : 2009. 10. Product name Australian Lamb Description/ Issue The Australian Lamb Australia is from halal animal but the slaughtered is doubtful because the halal logo is different and not stated in The Recognised Foreign Halal Certification by JAKIM Malaysia. Their lamb also didnt mention the halal is certified by the Islamic council in Australia or not. Any foreign halal must be recognised and certified by Halal Hub Division , Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM).
1.2 HARAM INGREDIENTS NO. CRITICAL INGREDIENT 1. Product name Red Wine Vinegar by Heinz Description/ Issue The vinegar is halal but once it contains wine, it is consider as haram. Wine is prohibited in islam and muslim cant take any food that contains with wine. 2. Product name Bacon Description/ Issue Bacon is a meat product prepared from a pig. Any meat product derived from pig is prohibited in islam. 3. Product name Pork Description/ Issue Pork meat is haram animal to be eaten for muslim and it is also prohibited in Islam. Pork also has been listed as non halal animal based on MS 1500 : 2009. 4. Product name Gelatin (Jello Gelatin) Description/ Issue Usually of animal origin, mostly from pig. If extracted from a dhabiha animal, then it is halal 5. Product name Mono Glycerides Description/ Issue When derived from animal source is haram but is halal animal follow the slaughter according to shariah law, it is halal. The source from plant also consider halal 6. Product name Vanilla Description/ Issue It is halal because it is extract from plant. All plant is halal resource. 7. Product name Vitamin Description/ Issue Mostly the source is synthetic or plant and are Halal 8. Product name Lard Description/ Issue Fat from swine particulaly found in the abdominal cavity. It is derived from pig and haram for muslim. It is also prohibited in islam 9. Product name Alcohol as solvent in flavour Description/ Issue Alcohol is used as a solvent in natural and artificial flavor. It is haram ingredients because it is from alcoholic fermentation 10. Product name Beer Batter Description/ Issue These are coating on meat and fish products containing beer as an ingredients. It is haram ingredients because it is from alcoholic fermentation.
1.3 NON-CRITICAL INGREDIENTS NO. CRITICAL INGREDIENT 1. Product name Sea Bass Description/ Issue Sea bass is a fish is consider non critical ingredients and it also halal ingredients. 2. Product name Tilapia Description/ Issue Tilapia are mainly freshwater fish inhabiting shallow streams, ponds, rivers and lakes and less commonly found living in brackish water. It is halal ingredients and non-critical ingredients. 3. Product name Tuna Description/ Issue A tuna is a saltwater finfish. It is halal and non- critical ingredients. 4. Product name Lobster Description/ Issue Lobster is a large marine crustaceans. They have long bodies with muscular tails, and live in crevices or burrows on the sea floor. Lobster also consider as halal. 5. Product name Shrimp Description/ Issue Shrimp is used to refer to some decapod crustaceans. Shrimp is consider as halal ingredients. 6. Product name Mussel Description/ Issue Mussel is the common name used for members of several families of clams or bivalve molluscs, from saltwater and freshwater habitats. It is halal and all seafood is halal. 7. Product name Oyster Description/ Issue Oyster is the families of saltwater clams, bivalve molluscs that live in marine or brackish habitats. It is halal seafood that can be eaten. 8. Product name Squid Description/ Issue Squid are cephalopods of the order Teuthida. It lives in sea that can be eaten. It is also halal seafood and not prohibited in Islam. 9. Product name Eel Description/ Issue Eels are elongated fish, ranging in length from 5 cm in the one-jawed eel to 4 m in the slender giant moray. It is halal to eat and good for the medicine. 10. Product name Anchovy Description/ Issue An anchovy is a small, common salt-water forage fish of the family Engraulidae. Usually known as oily fish. It is also halal to be eaten and usually will be eaten with nasi lemak.
