place! This is none other than the house of God, and it is the gate of heaven!” (Genesis 28:17).
Early December 2009, while waiting on the Lord, I
asked God what 2010 will hold in for the body of Christ in the earth. Then I saw a vision of a beautiful farming ranch. I saw a beautiful white Cape-Dutch styled house with the most beautiful green pastures I have ever seen. In the background was a very high mountain which I perceived to be the mountain of the Lord. While seeing the vision I received the interpretation from the Holy Spirit and some Scriptures also came to mind.
The ranch symbolizes the kingdom of God. God is
doing a new thing, something fresh in the earth. We are at the dawning of a new day and everything pivots around the Father’s business (a ranch is a business). The Lord is getting everything ready to mobilize His end time army. The last epic battle of the ages has already started. The time for the great harvest has drawn near. The Lord is preparing an army, the greatest and most awesome that will ever walk this earth. Though there is presently a war going on all fronts only a very small part of the Lord’s people are presently engaged in this war. However, the Lord is doing a quick work in the earth.
The house symbolizes the house of the Lord. The
first mentioning in Scripture about the house of the Lord is when Jacob met the Lord at a place which he named Bethel because he perceived it to be the house of the Lord. Isaac forbade Jacob to take a Canaanite wife but to take a wife for himself from the daughters of Laban who was his mother’s brother. So he went from Beersheba toward Haran. The Hebrew meaning for Beersheba is the well of the oath. It was a town with seven wells situated at the Southern border of the Promised Land. The Hebrew word yāmîn means south or the right hand. East is the direction of primary orientation for the Hebrews and other Semitic peoples. When facing East, South was on the “right of east” or “the right hand side” and north was “left of east” or “the left hand side.” East referred to “the front” or “the present or future” and west “behind” or “the past.”
In Scripture the term “right hand” (Heb: yāmîn)
often refers to one’s literal right hand (Ezekiel 39:3; Jonah 4:11). However, it is also symbolic of authority and power: the signet ring was worn on the royal right hand (Jeremiah 22:24), the elder son received the greater blessing via the right hand (Genesis 48:14, 17), and the position of honor was at one’s right hand (Psalm 110:1, 5; cf. Mark 14:62; Colossians 3:1). The right hand refers to the direction “south,” since the right hand of one facing east would be to the south (2 Kings 23:13).
Jacob came from Beersheba, the well of the oath,
the southern border of Israel or from the place of the right hand or place of the blessing of God. When Jacob left for Haran Isaac blessed him. May God Almighty bless you, and make you fruitful and multiply you, that you may be an assembly of peoples; and give you the blessing of Abraham, to you and your descendants with you, that you may inherit the land in which you are a stranger which God gave to Abraham (Genesis 28:3-4). Jacob went toward Haran. Haran means parched, dry or scorched.
When a person is born again, placed in the Beloved
he or she is a partaker of the blessing of Abraham in the Lord Jesus Christ. The New Covenant in the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ is a covenant of pure mercy and grace. The only requirement is faith in God and Jesus Christ whom he sent. A new convert starts immediately blessed (Beersheba experience) and then tasting the dryness of a life of faith (Haran experience). If you follow the path of life diligently you will on your way see the house of God that Jacob saw.
On Jacob’s way toward Haran God showed him His
house. Now Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haran. So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep. Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. And behold the Lord stood above it and said: “I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants. Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Behold I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.” Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!” Then Jacob rose early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put at his head, set it up as a pillar, and poured oil on top of it. And he called the name of that place Bethel; but the name of that city had been Luz previously. Then Jacob made a vow saying, “If God will be with me, and keep me in this way, that I am going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on, so that I come back to my father’s house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God. And this stone which I have set as a pillar shall be God’s house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You (Genesis 28:10-22).
I believe this is the picture of the house of the Lord
that the Holy Spirit has shown me in my vision. Let us interpret this passage of Scripture like we interpret dreams.
Jacob stayed all night at a certain place because
the sun has set. It is a picture of the sun setting on the Church age. Jacob went to sleep. It is also a picture of the church sleeping. The name of this place was known as Luz. The Hebrew word Luz derived from the primary root Lûwz means to depart, perverse, perverseness, to borrow or lend and to turn aside. This is the shocking state of the church at the end of the church age. It has departed from the truth. It is said that if the apostles of Jesus’ day must hear the word that is going forth from many pulpits in the United States and rest of the world today they will not recognize it as the gospel they have received from the Lord. The emphasis of the word is polluted with self interest and doctrines and views which reveals a shallow relationship with the Lord and some instances no relationship at all. So the word has become perverted. Borrowing and lending, money lending, sounds like business. Then He taught, saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it a ‘den of thieves’” (Mark 11:17). Instead of a house of prayer religious institutions converted the house of the Lord into a moneymaking industry to support their religious programs. Most use their religious programs to run from the presence of the Lord, like Jonah, instead of engagement in prayer, worship and speaking an unadulterated message of the kingdom of God. I do not say every church is like this but the majority of churches in the USA and in the rest of the world is under the spirit of Luz. Thank God we are already seeing some divine changes where the fires of enlightenment and revival slowly but surely started to burn but we are far from the glory of the house of God that Jacob saw in his dream.
What did Jacob see? He saw the house of the Lord.
He saw angels ascending and descending on a ladder that was set up on earth and its top reach into heaven. And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man (John 1:51). The ladder is Jesus. The ladder is the mountain in my vision. The mountain of the Lord and the ladder is the same, it is Jesus. I will talk about it later.
Then Jacob heard the Lord confirm to him the
promise he made to his grandfather Abraham and his father Isaac. The house of the Lord must constantly hear the original promise to Abraham and his seed to make the people of the Lord reaching out in faith for the city set on a hill which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. To Jacob is said that his descendants will be like the dust of the earth and he shall spread abroad to the west and the east, and to the north and the south. It refers to the ingathering of the great harvest that will start happening shortly. The Lord is already starting to move in His people. We already starting to experience the beginning of the birth pangs, of the greatest wave of revival that this planet has ever seen. Toward the end of the next decade you will not believe your eyes. In that time, life as we know it will dramatically start to change. It is the time when we will start walking in the shadow of death as evil will be released on an unprecedented measure on the face of the earth. It will also be the time when the house of the Lord will start to walk in the greatest purity that the earth has ever witnessed since the fall of man. The Lord promised Jacob that He will be with him and keep him wherever he goes and bring him back to the Promised Land and God will not leave him until He has done what He has promised. The Lord will never leave us or forsake His house and He will build His temple. Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days (three thousand years) I will raise it up” (John 2:20). The great ingathering will continue until the end of the millennial reign of the Lord, until His house is complete.
When Jacob went to sleep he took a stone and put
it at his head. The head stone or chief cornerstone symbolizes Jesus the head of His church. Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone (the stone at Jacob’s head), in whom the whole building, fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit (Ephesians 2:20b-22). When Jacob woke up in the morning he took the head stone and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it. The pillar with oil on top of it symbolizes the body of Christ (from head stone to pillar), which ought to be the anointed pillar and basis of truth. It means that the word becomes flesh in the body of Christ. But if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of truth (1 Timothy 3:15, emphasis added). The pillar also stands for a strong and responsible church leadership. It also refers to overcoming. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. And I write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name (Revelation 3:12). The Lord called His church to overcome. When Jacob awoke from his sleep he was upset for that which he had observed. He said that place where he met God was the house of God. Jacob had the fear of the Lord on him as he described the house of the Lord as an awesome place. He also described the house of God as the gate of heaven. And he called the name of that place Bethel, which means house of God.
The house of the Lord is the living stones that
house the presence of the Lord because the Lord made His abode among His people. The house of the Lord is firstly a house of continues prayer and worship and secondly a place where the people give themselves to the ministry of the word. But we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word (Acts 6:4). The restoration of the house of the Lord to its former glory and beyond is the fashioning of the living stones in to the image of Christ that they may found their anointed positions in the structure of His house. There will be a generation in this last days that will be sold out to the Lord in giving them to Him, firstly in continues prayer and then to search out His word and will in meditation on the word and waiting on the Lord – always ready in season and out of season with a word from God. The purpose of their faith, which is their life that is hidden in Christ, is to manifest the love of the Father. They are the ones that know that many enemies of the cross of today will be part of the eternal family of God tomorrow. They will be the ones that will obtain a witness that the presence of the love of the Father never diminished in their lives. Uncounted numbers will come to the cross of Christ because there will be a people that know how to love the enemies of the cross, the outcast, widows, orphans and every soul on the highways and the byways. Indeed the Lord is in this place, it is a place of prayer and worship where the presence of His love abides. The house of the Lord is also a dreadful and an awesome place. It is a place where the fear of God abides. It is a place to walk humble and upright in the presence of God in holy reverence to Him. It is a place of holy worship as we behold the awesomeness of His person and heed His wonderful and illustrious deeds and remember His holy name. Indeed the church of today has not yet encountered the fierceness of the holiness of the presence of the Lord as in the days of the first apostles. Remember how Satan filled the hearts of Ananias and Sapphira to lie to the Holy Spirit and they died. Great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things (Acts 5:1-11). It was so unnecessary for this tragedy to hit the church before the fear of the Lord came upon them. A repentant and humble condition of heart and attitude would have taken care of it.
Jacob also described the house of God as the gate
of heaven. The church of the Lord Jesus Christ is the prophetic voice of the Lord revealing the manifold wisdom of God to the principalities and powers in heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. The church is the beautiful wife of the Lamb: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. She is the one being with child and will give birth to a male child, the sons of God, for which all creation eagerly waits. She is the one that will create other offspring also through the gospel of the kingdom. She will be a refuge for many because of the family spirit that prevails in her that is fueled by the love of the Father.
She is one with her Husband and in Him she is the
narrow gate of heaven. Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it (Matthew 7:13-14). It is not every one who says, “Lord, Lord,” or who cast out demons and done many wonders in His name but he who does the will of the Father who lives in heaven. It is he who hears the word of the Lord and does it. This is the way of the house of the Lord who is the gate to heaven, the way of His wise virgin bride. The way of the foolish virgins, are those that practice lawlessness instead of procuring as much anointing as possible from the Holy Spirit that their lamps may not go out in the day when the bridegroom delay and all will slumber and sleep.
The Lord is speaking to the virgins of His house, to
the sons of the kingdom and not to the unbelieving sinner. But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 8:12, emphasis added). The rewards for our earthly lives are the eternal positions that we will have forever. The foolish virgins knew the Lord, and trusted in His cross for salvation, but did not pay the price to die to self and live for Him, but they lived for themselves. They did not live anointed lives, keeping their vessels filled with the oil of the Holy Spirit. They have eternal life, but they wasted their lives on earth. They wasted their time and the lives of people through a lack of humility and a lack of the fruit of the Spirit, because they lacked the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit in their lives. The grief that they will experience when they understood how they had wasted their lives will be beyond any grief possible on earth. The darkness of that grief can only be understood by those foolish virgins. Such darkness is magnified when it is revealed in contrast to the glory of the One they failed. Those are the ones, though mighty princes of God that will have the lowest rank in heaven. There is no greater folly than to know the great salvation of God, but then to go on living for yourself. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet as through fire (1 Corinthians 3:15, emphasis added).
Repentance is the way to restoration and has
everything to do with the grace of God. Grace is not just the forgiveness of repeated sins in our lives – it is the power to live a new life as a new creation that does not continue to be subject to the old nature. However, the battle is long and hard against our old nature, and the grace of God certainly does forgive us for our repeated failures while we are fighting. The deception of many is that they do not have to fight – that they can continue to live in sin and God will still forgive them. This is a dangerous fallacy made clear in Scripture. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame. For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God; but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned. But, beloved, we are confident of better things concerning you, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner. For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises (Hebrews 6:4-12).
It is dangerous to be born again through the Spirit
of God, make a commitment to follow Jesus, and then fall away in sin to serve self and the devil again. However, it is possible to be renewed again if we have not taste, “the heavenly gift…. shared in the Holy Spirit … tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come.” To have done all of this is to have come to a level of maturity and revelation of God and His ways and if we fall from this we are irredeemable.
In the vision, I saw the most beautiful green
pastures I have ever seen. In 2010 we will see that the Lord will start to restore the heart of the shepherd in His house that His sheep may be fed on time. There will be a sifting of the true shepherd from the hireling. An emphasis will come on the Melchizedek priesthood and deep anointed worship that will bring healing to the wounded. Healing create oneness in the house of the Lord. The judgments will start in the house of the Lord that will set us free to ascend into the mountain of the Lord.
The ladder that Jacob saw in his dream is the
mountain of the Lord in my vision, which is Jesus. And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man (John 1:51). The year 2010 is a call for rapid spiritual growth. Each step of the ladder is the same as each ledge of the mountain. Every step of the ladder or ledge of the mountain represent a spiritual level of grace that is associated with a biblical truth such as salvation, , prayer, faith, hope, love, etc. The higher you go the deeper the biblical truth and the greater the sacrifice and the more grace you need. On the top of the mountain is paradise where the overcomer eats of the fruit of the tree of life, that he or she may know the love of the Father. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God (Revelation 2:7). As the ladder and the mountain represent a picture of Jesus it emphasizes that your entire life with all its activities is absorbed in the Son of God so that the excellence of the power is from God and not from flesh and blood. All your achievements are in Him and by His ability according to measure of His grace.
