The J OINT COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (CET) will be conducted on Sunday, 17 th November 2013 for the selection of candidates at State Institute for Administrative Careers (SIAC), Mumbai and Pre-IAS Training Centre, YCMOU Campus, Nashik for 11 month full time free training programme for UPSC Examination 2014.
The CET will consist of a paper comprising of General studies and CSAT. Marks -200 Time - 11.00 to 1.00 (2 Hours)
The question will be of multiple choice with negative marking. (one-third of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty for the wrong answer.)
I) ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:
a) Graduate from any recognized University.
b) Age : as on 1 st August 2014 21-30 years (open category) 21-33 years (OBC,SBC,NTC,NTD,VJ ) 21-35 Years (SC/ST)
c) Candidate should be a Domicile of Maharashtra OR Candiates belonging to Maharashtra-Karnataka disputed border area whose mother tongue is Marathi and who has passed in Marathi as a subject in 10 th std. d) An Ex-SIAC candidate who has availed of the benefit of coaching for prelims or mains in SIAC will not be eligible for Entrance Examination of SIAC. e) Being a full time training programme, admitted candidates will not be permitted to carry out any J ob /other courses simalteneously.
II) IMPORTANT INFORMATION OF ENTRANCE EXAM:
a) The candidate has to choose the training centre (either SIAC, Mumbai OR Pre-IAS Training Centre, Nashik) at the time of filling the CET Online Application Form itself. b) The application forms for CET will be available online from 23 rd August 2013 to 23 rd September 2013. Application form is to be filled and submitted ONLINE at the website: www.siac.org.in c) Students belonging to open category should draw a Demand draft of Rs.300/- and reserved category Students should draw a D.D of Rs.150/- in favour of DIRECTOR, SIAC MUMBAI ( Payable at mumbai branch). Candidate should mention his/her complete Name, Application No. & Mobile /telephone number with the STD code on the reverse side of the Demand draft. d) The details of the D.D for filling of online application form are necessary. e) Students should completely fill the form and click the SUBMIT option.This will display the fully filled in application form along with Application Number. Now the print of the application form be taken. Paste recent passport size photograph, sign the application form and attach D.D. f) The duly filled in application form along with DD should be reached to DIRECTOR, STATE INSTITUTE FOR ADMINISTRATIVE CAREERS (SIAC), HAZARIMAL SOMANI MARG, OPP. CST STATION, MUMBAI-400 001 on or before 01.10.2013, the application form received after this, date will not be accepted. g) Do not attach any certificates with application form. Certificates will be verified at the time of final admission. h) Form without D.D will not be accepted. i) Syllabus and other relevant information is avaible on website www.siac.org.in j) Hall tickets will be made available on the website www.siac.org.in from 01 .11.2013 to 16.11.2013
k) The Seprate Merit List will be prepared for the admission of candidates at SIAC, Mumbai and Pre-IAS Traning Centre, Nashik as per the choice given by the candidates in online application.
III- Limited Hostel Accommodation will be available for admitted boys/girls in SIAC, Mumbai and Pre-IAS Traning Centre, Nashik on merit basis and prevaling rules.
