This note only applies to:
Windows OS
Asian language installation:
o Simplified Chinese (ZH) -
o Traditional Chinese (ZF)
o Japanese (JA)
o Korean (KO)
o Thai (TH) -

The example in this document is to install Thai language on system SVZ CRM 5.0 system locating
in SV Landscape.

2. Installation on Operation System
Ensure locale is installed in the operating system. The locale is installed from the OS Installation CD.

Run Start Settings Control Panel Regional and Language Options




You can also refer to note 39763 for details.

3. Installation on ABAP System
1) Run transaction SE38 RSCPINST and check if the language exist


2) Add the NLS Settings by clicking on Add button and enter TH <enter>.

TH does not exist
1. Click Add
2. Enter TH and hit
<enter>

3) After add, click on Simulate button, then Activate button.


TH is added
Click on SIMULATE, follow by ACTIVATE

4) After activation, make the changes as suggested on the page. In this case, change profile
parameter zcsa/installed_languages.

5) After activation of new profile value, run transaction SMLT.


6) The language is now added into SMLT.

1. Click to add new
language
2. Select the target language
from the drop-down list
3. Select English for
Supplement Language. This
means if the system cannot
find the translation in TH
(Thai), it will replace the text
with English.
4. Save the settings
Click to start the installation

7) Depends on the system release, the installation files can be downloaded from SAP Software
Distribution Centre (http://service.sap.com/swdc).



1. Enter the Path of the downloaded setup files
2. Click on Find Package(s) and the package will appear in the table below
3. If the icon is red, click to see the detail
errors. The error can be due to wrong
setup files.
4. Click on Settings
5. Depends on the number of
BGD process available,
specify the number of
processes to execute the job
6. Select Import into All Clients
7. Click to confirm the settings and go back to the previous screen

8. Select the package
9. Click on Execute
10. Click on Yes
11. Click to go back to previous screen

8) Expand Thai and noticed that import is running.

9) After the language import is done, import the support packages from Language Special
Actions Import Support Packages.

10) Required support packages are listed. Hit <enter> to continue.

11) If the system cannot find the required support packages, download them from
http://service.sap.com/patches.


12) When everything is in green, hit <enter> to continue to next screen.

Support packages
that cannot be
found
1. Enter the path of the downloaded SP CAR files. 2. Click on Search Path
1. Click on Import Language Data to start the import.
2. When asked, select Overwrite.

13) Import is running.


14) Import is done.


15) Lastly logon to the system with the imported language.
