What aspects of your work could be improved on

and why?

With my front cover, there are 3
main aspects in which I would
improve are the background colour,
decrease the amount of text in the
cover lines and align left the cover
lines itself, as well as have taken a
wider range of photos in my photo
shoot for the FC and CP.

I would change the colour of the
background so that it stands out a bit
more and is a bit more conventional
and attractive in terms of being a
magazine front cover, or at least not
have the colour I had used previously
running throughout the cover itself.

The cover lines could be improved by minimising the amount of text and
description used in them as that sort of information should be kept for use on
the contents page. The cover lines should also have been aligned left on the
page and not centred as that would have evened out the look of the cover in
terms of the imaged used which is placed so that she is against the right side of
the page and had the text against the left side.

The image itself is fine and fits the theme of it being a college magazine and
works well as representing a student, but I wish I would have taken more
photographs in my photo shoot as there wasn't much choices in which photo
to use. More photos would have given a wider range of option and fell if a
wider range of different images were taken.

And when it comes to the contents
page, the main things I would
change is again the background
colour, the image variety, and the
differentiation of the story features
so that the small blurbs, the story
headers and the page references
are easily more differentiated.

Again, in terms of the background,
the colour would be drastically
changed on the contents page as it
doesnt look at all attractive as a
magazine feature. It would be
changed to something more
attractive and fitting with the style
of the FC and not be s single flat
colour and flat styling on the
contents page itself and add more variation in colours and styling so it doesnt
look as basic, flat and unattractive in its purpose.

Also in terms of the image once again, I would wish to take more photos in my
photo shoot so I would have more variety and option when it comes to images
for the FC and CP, something which didn't happen when creating them for my
college magazine this time.

The design and layout of the contents text and the blurbs for each story, as
well as the page references for each story could be improved as they are
clumped together and again dont look very attractive or professional and are
heard to differentiate and quickly draw attention too from a readers
perspective.
