RECYCLING
Our expertise in re-refining and reusing lubricant
oils is amongst the best in the industry. It is rapidly
growing segment which has both environmental
benefits and distinct cost advantages. We have
built a huge capacity over the years in processing
and recycling used oil and provide a highly efficient
mechanism of collection, transportation, storage
and processing and distribution to our customers in
the UAE and abroad.

OUR BUSINESS
REFINERY
ZAHARA Group has purpose built refining facility at
its plant in Sharjah, U.A.E. The state of art facility
benefits from adoption of latest and quality oriented
refining techniques and methods. It has been built
to the most demanding performance, quality control
specifications and environmental standards.
Innovative strategies and knowledge-sharing are
the tools available for converting challenges into
opportunities for sustained organizational growth.
With strategies and plans for several value-added
projects in place, ZAHARA Petrochemicals will
continue to play a leading role in the down- stream
hydrocarbon sector for meeting up with the rising
energy demands of our esteem clients.
Products that are refined are: Crude Oil, Used Engine
Oil, Waste Naphtha, Contaminated Oil.

Re-refining and reusing lubricant oils is both

environmentally friendly and economical due to
increasing costs of both oil and disposal. Vacuum
distillation will ensure a producer can consistently
re-refine used lubricant oils and restores to its
original state with minimal variation in its grade.
Since the distillation occurs under high vacuum in
our short path evaporator, the oil is exposed to high
temperatures for just seconds avoiding product
degradation.

DISTILLATION
ZAHARA Group enjoys outstanding expertise and
technological know how in the process of Vacuum
Distillation. Our state of the art plan produces Marine
Oil, Heavy Aromatic Benzene, Heavy Fuel Oil and
Petroleum residue. Basically, Vacuum Distillation
is a process of treating of Used Oil or Waste Oil to
recover different grades of valuable products and
segregating the residual part without addition of
any chemical, coagulant or acid to the raw material
so that the quality and quantity of wastes are at
acceptable levels.
This means the quantity of waste generated will be
minimum while the quality is of acceptable level so
that the same can be safely disposed as a byproduct
without harming the environment.

TRADING
The petrochemical trading division of ZAHARA
Group was launched in 2003 as to leverage our
production and distribution expertise and to further
enhance our market presence services in the region.
Today we are one of the leading providers of quality
lubricant and processed oils to large refineries and
clients in the region.
ZAHARA Petrochemicals, Dubai was registered
in 2003 as part of ZAHARA Group to specialize in
oil, petrochemical and petroleum products trade,
merging ZAHARA Groups extensive contacts in
the oil industry. ZAHARA Petrochemicals is now
able to supply petroleum products which include
a range of crude and refined products. ZAHARA
Petrochemicals works with a number of major
refineries as well as burners/end users who look
to ZAHARA Petrochemicals to provide exceptional
service giving the best terms and profit margins.
The Group observes high international industry and

LATEST PROJECTS

An Oil Terminal in Hamriya Free Zone, UAE with a
storage capacity of 60,000 MT is under planning
stage and its construction of storage plant is
expected to start in third quarter of 2014.
A Grease plant with a production capacity of
26,000 MT per annum and a Lubrication
plant of capacity 200,000MT per annum is
under construction in UAE and the production
is expected to commence from third quarter
of 2014.

Mr. Mohamed Azam, Chairman
The chairman, Mr. Mohamed Azam, is a born entrepreneur
and technocrat. He is the leading light of an Indian family
with traditional values but had inculcated the habit of being
innovative in any initiative that he pursues.
From a humble beginning, he had established a name for
Zahara Group in UAE and in the Indian subcontinent by
practicing aggressive marketing and timely customer support.
Under his distinguished leadership, the group had captured the
Indian lubricant market being the major and reliable source of
feedstock for the Indian oil and lubricant industry.
He is a staunch believer in business ethics and pursues a very healthy environment to
competition in business.
A versatile technocrat that Mr. Azam is, he possesses very high quality of experience in
the international arena having interacted with almost all major refineries in the Middle
East and African region thereby laying a very strong foundation to his own businesses in
the petrochemical sector. Today, his business acumen combined with the international
experience has helped carve a niche to ZAHARA being a preferred partner to many buyers
and suppliers from the international market.
Unrelenting in his fight against challenges and purposeful in his mission to contribute
value to international trade, he has surpassed many milestones in his chequered career
as an entrepreneur with many more laurels awaiting him in the coming days.

Mr. Radwan Azam, Managing Director

The Managing Director, Mr. Radwan Azam loves hard work
and being efficient at it. He has not only imbibed the great
values from his mentor, our Chairman but has surpassed his
father as management guru in the business.
A simple man with sky-high ambitions, he is bestowed with
many great qualities that make a perfect and successful
businessman. His young shoulders have carried the burden
of running a successful business over the past eight years
and it is only befitting that he has earned the position of our
Managing Director while still in his twenties.
Under the visionary leadership of our MD, the groups business segment started
expanding to hitherto unexplored markets in Far East and Africa. Trading volume had
jumped multi-fold with improved focus on products like Bitumen, Grease, Fuel Oil and
other petrochemical products. Through our MDs initiative, efforts are underway to
setup marketing offices in major markets paving the way for ZAHARAS domination in
some of the niche markets.
Gifted with a penchant for numbers and statistics, he always plays a key role in shaping
the business plans, strategies and long-term goals of ZAHARA group. In his own style,
he would never accept poor quality work and always lends a helping hand to all his
colleagues for performance enhancement in their area of specialization.

Mr. Fardan Azam, Director

The Director, Mr. Fardan Azam, is a young and enterprising
technocrat with wide industry knowledge and contacts. He
believes in hands-on involvement and loves to train people
so as to deliver the right product at the right quantity and
price.Not a day passes, without him being involved in
finding newer product resources or newer contacts from the
international market.
He is the front-runner in all technical aspects of our business
and keeps himself abreast with international market by visits
to all major refineries in this region.
By his innovative leadership, Mr. Fardan has initiated many steps in capacity expansion
in our manufacturing facility in Sajja Industrial Area, Sharjah, thereby contributing to
increased volume of business.
Mr. Fardan reflects the ZAHARA groups future in business and the confidence and
trust that the group has in his abilities is reflected in bestowing him with the groups
expansion plans and implementation of such plans.
