Components of Physical Fitness
I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson students must be able to:
1. explain the benefits of exercise to their physical, mental, and social health.
2. practice and create realistic fitness program.
3. assess their abilities at each of the skills.
II. Subject-Matter
Topic: Components of Physical Fitness
Reference: Enjoy Life with PE and Music(Textbook)
Materials: Pictures, Physical Fitness Progression Form
Time Allotment: 2 weeks

D. Evaluation
Plan a 1-week physical activity plan that makes use of the 4 activity based components of physical fitness as we
discussed in class (cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility).
Physical activity plan must include flexibility component at the end of every workout.
Physical activity plan must make use of at least one other activity component (cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular
endurance, muscular strength) each day.
Cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular endurance, muscular strength activity components must be used at least 3
times per week.
