NATIONS CONVENE IN SASKATOON TO REJECT CANADAS TACTICS TO IMPOSE BILL C-27
(First Nations FINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY ACT)
Okimaw (Chief) Wallace Fox from Onion Lake of the Cree Nation alongside other leaders
representing Treaty Nations will be participating in a Press Conference in Saskatoon,
Saskatchewan to discuss the ongoing rejection of Canadas Bill C-27 (First Nations Financial
Transparency Act).
The Government of Canada continues to violate its treaty obligations and the Honour of the
Crown in its relationship to Treaty Nations as evidenced by threats and attempts to impose
legislation such as Bill C-27. Many Nations oppose this Bill from various Treaty territories and
other areas across Canada.
