ENTRIES FOR THE 21ST “ANDREA MARGUTTI TROPHY” (TO BE HELD AT

CASTELLETTO ON 21ST MARCH) OPEN FROM 1ST OF FEBRUARY 2010
IN COMPETITION THE INTERNATIONAL CATEGORIES KZ2, KF3 AND KF2, BESIDES THE DÄBUT OF THE CLASS
60 MINI WHICH WILL COMPETE IN A SPECIFIC TROPHY NAMED ’60 JUNIOR TROPHY’.

Parma, 28th December 2009. Parma Karting is

already in full swing for the organization of the
traditional karting appointment of the “Andrea
Margutti Trophy”, whose 21st edition will be
held on next 21st March 2010. The event is on
schedule, just like last year, on the “7 Laghi”
Circuit at Castelletto di Branduzzo (Pavia) and
will be held from 19th to 21st March 2010.
An important novelty is the introduction of the
60 Mini Class, which will compete for a specific
“60 Junior” Trophy, expressly created for the
2010 edition. The other competing categories
will be, as usual, the international classes KZ2,
KF3 and KF2, which will be, once more, the
highlight of the event.
Entries open on 1st February 2010. It is possible
to enter for the competition filling the official
form (downloadable from the website
www.trofeomargutti.com) and sending it to
Parma Karting ASD - 239b, Via Emilia Ovest,
43100 Fraore (PARMA- Italy).
So, the “Andrea Margutti Trophy” keeps on
renewing its contents, with lots of novelties year
after year and always new interesting issues. In
the last edition we had the reintroduction of the
shift category; this year the category for children from 9 to twelve years of age will be part of the
traditional event, with lots of little champions ready to battle to get on the list of winners, which has as first
entry Giancarlo Fisichella, winner of the first edition in 1990.
In the 2009 edition there were 185 entries, coming from 28 different countries. The tough finals of the 20th
Trophy were won by the French driver Brandon Maisano – who then achieved a resounding win in Super KF
in the WSK of Zuera – then the young Russian driver Danill Kvyat – who will compete in car racing in
Formula BMW in 2010 – and, finally, in KZ2 the trophy went to the English driver Jack Hawksworth, who
was then one of the best drivers in his category of the 2009 season in the World Cup and in the European
Championship.
