CONGRATULATIONS to Florence Rose Beale who will be Baptised on Saturday, 29th November.

WE WELCOME the children from Class 4TD and 4EC, Our Lady of Peace Junior School, to the 9.30am
Mass on Tuesday.

ADVENT BOOKS Copies of Walk with Me, a journey of prayer for Advent and Christmastide, are
available. Priced 1 each.
DECEASED Please pray for the repose of the soul of Patricia Smith who died last week, her Funeral
Service will be on Tuesday, 25th November at 1.00pm at Chilterns Woodland Burial Park. Also
please pray for the repose of the soul of Paul Balakrishnan RIP, who died recently, his Funeral
Service will be at Amersham Crematorium on Friday, 28th November at 11.30am. May their souls
and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.
BETTY WESTNEY RIP The Funeral Service for Betty will be at St Peters Church, Burnham, on
Friday, 28th November at 1.45pm.

BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE As in previous years, the Book of Remembrance will be kept in the Blessed
Sacrament Chapel during November.

THANK YOU to Clasby Construction Ltd for donating the new noticeboards in the Church porches,
and also for redecoration of the porch.
CAKE AND TOY SALE My name is Hannah Hodge, and I am in year 10 at St Bernard's Catholic
Grammar School, where I have been selected to go to South Africa to work in our twin school;
Sinethemba High School, in Cape Town. I will be involved in the teaching of students and providing
books and equipment, as well as promoting healthcare awareness in the school and surrounding
townships. I have to raise 1,600 towards the trip. As part of my fundraising I have been given
permission to hold a cake and toy sale on the 30th November after the 9.45am Mass at Our Lady of
Peace. I do hope you will be able to support me.
ST ANDREWS are collecting money for a votive candle stand. If you can spare some change
please put it in the jar at the back of the Church. Many thanks.
APF/MHF RED BOXES. The second half-yearly count for 2014 is due to take place in the next 2-3
weeks for banking of your donations BEFORE Christmas. Would all Red Box Holders kindly bring
their boxes to Mass in the forthcoming weekends to assist in a quick count and turnaround. Many

PARISH MASS BOOKS We start to use Volume 1 of the new Mass books for Year B from next
weekend, 29th 30th November First Sunday of Advent. As with Year A and Year C, books if you
would like to donate 1.95 for one of these books, or 7.95 for the large print books, please feel
free to do so, and we will enter into the book a dedication for your intention. Just put into an
envelope the offering and the name(s) you wish inscribed in the book(s) and hand to Yvonne: for a
deceased person please add 'RIP' to the name or names; for someone alive, please add 'Intention'.
COME AND SEE Are you thinking of becoming a Catholic? A new course
for anyone thinking of joining the Catholic Church has started, the course will run
on Thursdays, from 7.30pm-8.45pm in the Presbytery. Please contact Fr Andy for
more information either after Mass or on 01628 605764.
THE SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION will be conferred by Bishop Peter NEXT
year on Tuesday, 23rd June 2015 at 7.30pm. If any young person from Year 8
onwards would like to receive Confirmation next year, then please will they
themselves write to Fr Andy as soon as possible to request to receive this
Sacrament and to join the course. All applications need to be in by Friday, 20th
December please.
HOLY REDEEMER CAFOD GROUP invite you to a Christmas Party on Friday, 28th November from
8.00pm. A night of music and dancing with their very own Elvis, in Slough Irish Club. Admission by

ST ANDREW'S DAY There will be a joint Ecumenical service at St Andrew's Church on Monday, 1st
December at 7.00pm. All welcome, with a bring and share buffet afterwards.
POST-MISSION MEETING: WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? There will be a Mission follow-up
meeting with Allegra from the Sion Community on Tuesday, 2nd December at 7.00pm in Our Lady of
Peace. This will be a great opportunity to discuss how, as a Parish, we may build on the fruits of the
Mission. All parishioners are welcome to come and share in the discussion.
ADVENT DAY OF PRAYER to prepare for Christmas, on Saturday, 6th December from 9.30am to
5.00pm at Holy Redeemer Church, Slough, speaker is Fr David Larkin.. Please bring packed lunch,

CHURCHES TOGETHER IN BURNHAM Joint Advent Carol Service, The Light of the World, on
Sunday, 7th December at 3.00pm in the United Reformed Church, Stomp Road, Burnham. All
welcome. Come and sing the beautiful songs of Advent as we prepare for Christmas.
BURNHAM CONCERT BAND Christmas Special at St Anthonys Church, Farnham Road, Slough,
on 10th December, concert starts at 8.00pm, doors open at 7.00pm. Adults 7, Concessions 5,

LONDON AND SLOUGH RUN Homeless Christmas Street Party, London, on Monday 15th
December. Once again, they depend on your very kind generosity to help supply the goodie bags for
the street parties. The list of contents will be detailed in next weeks Bulletin, or please see poster in
the Church porches. They would like to thank you in advance for thinking of our friends on the street
at a particularly lonely time of year.
COME, LORD JESUS ADVENT RETREAT on 19th December with Fr Joseph Edattu, VC, from
Divine Retreat Centre, Ramsgate from 7.00pm to 10.30 pm at Polish Church of Divine Mercy, 48
