My Educational Philosophy

I believe a teaching is more than just a job; it is a way of life that leads to the making of
life-long learners. Doing so requires being a facilitator of knowledge by taking the classroom
beyond simple instruction and allowing students to uncover information for themselves. I will
uphold guidance in learning, but will not make students learn irrelevant information. As a teacher
I will express dedication to students, a caring attitude, a positive forum for discussion, a safe
classroom, and provide for any of the students needs.
As a teacher, it is my job to make students the life-long learners and place them on a
route that leads to success. Students who learn through discovering information and seeking it
out will become more successful than those who are given basic information. I need to facilitate
this and support the student with any needs that they have. I will not be barrier in their education,
but instead a diving board into which they can just into the vast pool of knowledge. Knowledge

I believe that a caring professional is the key to conducting learning in the classroom. I
will do this by supporting all students in my classroom equally and making sure their needs are
taken care of. I will strive to create a community of learners within our classroom and out that

support each other for a common goal. The students will be held to a high standard of citizenship
that will be representative of how I act in the classroom towards others. I believe this will lead
the student to make proper choices in their life and ultimately lead to their success. I will care for
students by supporting the curriculum with proper examples and activities that fully support the
knowledge we are working towards. A positive forum for questioning is key to my belief in that
students will feel free to ask any question. I will answer any question to my fullest ability and not
look down on students for asking. Other students will be held to this same standard. The
classroom is more than a center for new information, it is a place of enhancing knowledge, which
questioning is a key part of.
Holding a safe classroom environment is the key aspect in all of the education. Without a
safe classroom knowledge will not be gained by any student. To do so I will seek to eliminate
any stereotypes I have towards students. Students will be held to the same standard and issues
between them will be worked out quickly and effectively. I will protect my students at all costs. I
believe as a professional educator the students are our number one priority. I will seek to do all
in my power to uphold this standard of protection so the students will feel safe in the classroom.
Under certain circumstances, I am more than a professional educator; I am a protector of life. I
will provide for every students needs to the best of my ability. I will serve the students and
educate them for the advancement of their knowledge to make them successful in society. I
believe as a professional educator, it is my job and duty to strive to create the best learning
environment for students and to care and protect them. I believe teaching is more than just a job,
it is a way of life that makes for the success of life-long learners today and in the future.
