Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions,
and read the Bible Story with scripture references indicated under the
power outlets. As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a
sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At
the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the
teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will
have their picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in
the newsletter.

Father God,
Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor Ron,
and his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love
is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things
will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great
you are and how much I love you. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed.
In Jesus' name,
Amen

I will give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his
wonderful deeds for men. Psalm 107:8
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him
and I am helped. Psalm 28:7
I will give thanks to the Lord for, He is good. Psalm 136:1

God wants us to forgive others the same way He has forgiven

us.

Luke 12:48, For everyone to whom much is given, from
him much will be required; and to whom much has been
committed of him they will ask the more.

As Christians, we have all been given a great gift of forgiveness

by Jesus Christ. God wants us to show forgiveness to others so
they will see His love in us and be drawn to repentance. Mary was
a woman in the Bible who had lived a sinful life doing things that
broke Gods laws and deserved punishment. When she met Jesus
she saw His great love and felt like she might have another chance
at living a better life. Jesus was a reminder to her that God had
not forgotten about her and He was not angry at her. He wanted
to forgive her and restore her to the destiny He had planned for
her. Mary was sorry for her sins and repented. She was so happy
and thankful to be forgiven that she brought her most expensive
perfume in a beautiful box and washed Jesus feet with it. The
people who saw her do it were mad because they didnt like a
sinful woman giving Jesus a gift like this. They had received gifts
of healing and forgiveness from Jesus but their thankfulness had
never overflowed to others. Jesus liked Marys gift and said that
wherever this story is told it would be a reminder that if anyone
would bow down to and recognize Jesus as Savior, no matter how
sinful, their sins would be forgiven.
