The harsh Warren County winters bring many challenges to those
in need. One that we may not think of is keeping feet warm from
the chill. The Family Service Association of Glens Falls is in need of
sock donations to stock their Emergency Holiday Table. Warren
County 4-H youth will be hosting a sock drive in hopes of collecting
new socks for this very worthy cause. Donations may be dropped
off at the Cornell Cooperative Extension office on 377 Schroon River

CALLING ALL TALENTED CRAFTS PEOPLE: On Saturday,

December 6, the Salem Courthouse Community Center will
be hosting its 9th annual Arts and Crafts Sale. This well publicized
and popular event will take place in the entire first floor of the historic
building from 10 am until 2 pm. There is a $25 participation fee with
all sale proceeds going directly to the vendors. A good number of
vendors have already signed up, but there are still great locations

COMING TO THE CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL, CRAFT FAIR & FLEA MARKET, LARGE BAKE
SALE, LUNCHEON AND RAFFLES on Saturday, December 6th in West Pawlet, Vermont. We hope
you will be there too!
It will be from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.! Santa will arrive at 12:30 p.m. Auxiliary member Ellie Park said
that a lot will be going on throughout the day at the fire station. It will be a fun day with many gifts. The
activities will be held in the West Pawlet Volunteer Fire Departments fire station, which is located at
2806 Vermont Route 153 (Main Street). There will be a variety of both CRAFT and flea market items
from local as well as visiting vendors.CRAFT VENDORS will be making WOOL MITTENS, DECORATED CIGAR BOXES, WREATHS & SWAGES and JEWLERY . The Food Sale will offer many
homemade items. The FOOD SALE will have POLISH NUT ROLLS, DECORATED HOLIDAY
CAKES, COOKIES, ROLLS, PIES and lots more.
There is a 50/50 RAFFLE as well as a raffle for a complete Ham Dinner. Raffle tickets for the 50/50
drawing price are $1.00. They may be purchased at the event. The LUNCHEON begins at 11:00 a.m.
The luncheon menu includes hamburgers, hot dogs, corn chowder, sandwiches, beverages and more. A
limited number of vendor spaces in the flea market area are still available for rent, 1st come, 1st serve;

THE HIGHLIGHT ACTING TROUPE will be presenting their Christmas show It Takes A Village written and directed by Nicole Osterhout assisted by Mindy Huerter on Friday and Saturday,
December 5, 6, at 7:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday, December 6, 7 at 2 pm. Performances are at
the Brunswick Grange, Rt. 7 and 142. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for seniors and students.
Reservations are recommended as seating is limited. Tickets should be prepaid before the performance. For reservations call Ethel at 518-237-6936.
It takes a village is a fun, entertaining musical following the lives of families in New York City in the
weeks leading up to Christmas. The children are all involved in a big brother big sister program that is
being threatened to be shut down by an evil bank owner. It includes popular Christmas music and a very
talented cast of actors portraying characters who are fighting to keep their favorite community program
open. Come join the fun December 5th 6th and 7th.
CHRISTMAS PARTY The Troy Senior Service Center, 19 Third Street, Troy would like to invite you
to our Christmas Party, Friday, December 19, from 11:00 1:00 pm. Enjoy a wonderful roast fresh
ham dinner, suggested donation of $2.00 for seniors. Reservations are required. Entertainment will be
