Course Goals/Objectives
The purpose of the course to absorb overall knowledge for advanced Reinforced Concrete
structure. This course is advanced level of CEN 347: Analysis and Design of Reinforced
Concrete II.

Course Description
Review of slab, beams, columns, design of long column, two-way slab systems: Grids, Waffle
slab, Ribbed Slabs; slab design by equivalent frame method, deep beam, curved beams, shear
wall, balk storage structures, problems in foundations of structures, limit state design, plastic
design etc.

Course Outcomes
At the end of the course, each participant should be able to apply the concept and
methodologies of advanced reinforce structures’ design and analysis.

Prerequisite
1. CEN 347; Analysis and Design of Reinforced Concrete II

Teaching Method
Class lecture will be presented with the help of lecture sheets and marker board as well as
multimedia projector.
