Inaworkgroup,theserveractsjustlikeanyothercomputerintheworkgroup.The10userlimitationwill
apply,nowthatisnotalimitof10users,but10concurrentconnectionstoanyshareintheworkgroupatany
onetime.Soyoucouldhavemorethen10computersintheworkgroup,butitsnotagreatidea.Also,
rememberinorderforyourclientstomaintainpersistentconnectionstotheshares,allusersmusthavealogin
onthecomputerhostingtheshare,(withapasswordandpreferably,usethesameusernameandpasswordon
thehostingcomputer,astheaccountusedtologintotheuser'sownstation.

configserver"attheCMDprompt/consolewilltellyouthemaxnumberallowed.
Idon'tknowwhatyouhaverunningontheserver,butifyoudon'tplanonusingadomainthenWindowsHome
Server,whichisalotcheaper,mightjustworkforyou.

asitonlyslowseverythingdown.Idon'tuseDNS,orhavetheserversetuptobeadomaincontroller.Weonly
needtheserverforfilesharesandthat'sit.ThecompanyIworkforisanArchitectural/EngineeringDesign
firm.Theydon'thosttheiremail,bettertoletsomeoneelsepayfortheequipmentandmaintenanceupkeep.
