Html vs php
HTML
HTML or Hyper Text Mark-up Language is considered a standard mark-up language when creating
web pages. A web browser has the capabilities to read HTML documents and compose them into
either Visible or audible web pages. The browser does not display the HTML tags but rather
interprets them and writes it into the content of the page. The HTML will describe the structure of
the website semantically*1 along with presentation techniques/effects this effectively makes it a
Mark-up*2 language. HTML elements compose the building blocks of all websites. HTML allows for
images and objects to be embedded and be able to create interactive forms. It provides a medium
for creating structured documents *3. This is done through the denotation of structural semantics for
text such as headings, paragraphs, lists, links, quotes and other items. It can be embedded into other
scripts such as Java which will ultimately affect the behaviour of the webpages. Browsers on the
internet can also be referred to as CSS (Cascading Style sheets)*4 this is used to define the look and
layout of the text and other materials on the document.

SEMANTICS
Semantics is the study of meaning, meaning in the word, phrases, signs and symbols. Semantics in
computer science is the meaning of the programming language or the code language. There are
many different semantics for different applications/programs.
The values below are use different syntax but each of the instructions command the same action.

This tutorial guided me into making a realistic looking grass texture. There was two parts to the
tutorial, creating the dirt layer and then creating the grass layer. This gave it the realism as not all
grass is perfect/synchronised. I used this tutorial as I had no prior knowledge in creating grass
textures or any textures in Adobe Photoshop. It asked me to utilise noise and clouds to create the
dirt layer. I then had to apply a blur on it to make it look realistic. For the grass I had to do the same
thing.

1. Using techniques like noise I can create different textures like grass etc.

This product is similar to mine. This is as it is a film trailer, which I will also be attempting to do for
my project. However there are to be differences and similarities.
This project is by New Line Cinema directed by R.J. Cutler. It displays and conveys the messages
which are seen in a romantic tragedy genre. I will also be conveying these messages with the use of
special effects, however, focusing more on the tragedy part rather than love or romance. I am to
include less scenes to base it on and more emphasis on the car accident.
