SHOOTING RECONSTRUCTION
MODERN TERRORISM INVESTIGATIONS
This course is designed for crime scene investigators,
detectives, crime laboratory analysts and others in the field of forensic science who desire the training and skills to thoroughly investigate shooting crime scenes. This course will assist law enforcement officers in documenting physical evidence for the purpose of shooting scene reconstructions. This course will especially assist in the documentation of evidence at the scene that previously might have been overlooked.

Location: Davie, Florida January 19-23, 2015 FINGERPRINT EVIDENCE PROCESSING, COLLECTION, AND PHOTOGRAPHY This comprehensive course on the processing, recovery, and photography of latent print evidence has been designed for detectives, crime scene investigators, and fingerprint identification specialists. This course will provide both lecture and hands on techniques for processing latent prints on various surface types, using both mechanical and chemical techniques. Additionally, students attending this course will learn to take legible fingerprints that are suitable for booking, eliminations, and other uses.

The course begins with instruction on basic camera operation and crime scene documentation and moves on to more advanced techniques. Location: Cape Coral, Florida March 2-6, 2015 PHOTOSHOP FOR THE LATENT PRINT EXAMINER This four-day hands-on workshop is appropriate for Photoshop users of all levels who use this application to work with latent fingerprint enhancement and examination. It covers information, techniques, and exercises that can be learned by beginners and can also be challenging for advanced Photoshop users. The dates of the main workshop are Tuesday, March 3, 2015, through Friday, March 6, 2015. There is also an elective one-day Basic Photoshop for Beginners Workshop on Monday, March 2, 2014. Instructor: George Reis, Imaging Forensics Location: Davie, Florida February 23-24, 2015 LOGICAL LATENT ANALYSIS This two-day course will cover innovative techniques designed to make examiners more efficient and confident at their job. You will learn new techniques like: how to determine directional flow, how to recognize the axis of a print, the importance of the funnel effect, how magnetic north indicates delta location, where the baseline is located and much more. Instructor: Mack Brazelle Location: Lauderhill, Florida March 16-20, 2015 BASIC FINGERPRINT CLASSIFICATION & COMPARISON WORKSHOP This forty-hour workshop is designed to introduce fingerprints to new tenprint examiners, new latent print examiners, crime scene or medical examiner personnel by introducing them to the terminology and concepts of classifying and identifying fingerprints. It is the training required by most agencies for the hiring of new employees to work in the field of fingerprint identification and serves as the basis for more advanced training in the field. RITUALISTIC & OCCULT CRIMES
Ritualistic Crimes Investigation is a comprehensive workshop designed to provide public safety, crime scene analysts and law enforcement professionals with an extensive understanding of crime scenes containing symbolic and unfamiliar evidence. Investigators will be introduced to the types of crimes most often associated with occult activity, crime scene clues, investigation strategies and an overview of active groups. Crime scenes, forensic and symbolic evidence involving the ritual practices of Satanism, Santeria, Voodoo, Palo Mayombe, and the Goth, Vampire & Fetish Scenes will be presented. Crime scene and autopsy images will demonstrate forensic and symbolic evidence specific to particular groups. Case studies include ritual sexual abuse, animal sacrifice and numerous ritual homicides. Instructor: Dawn Perlmutter, Ph.D. Location: Sunrise, Florida May 4-8, 2015 BURIED BODY & SURFACE SKELETON WORKSHOP This comprehensive 40-hour course is designed for crime scene investigators, detectives, crime laboratory analysts, and others in the field of forensic science who require the basic training and techniques for the investigation of crime scenes where buried bodies or surface skeletons are present and the remains are to be recovered. This course will provide the student with the skills needed to reconstruct the scene. Mock scenes for this course were designed to assist the student in the importance of scene documentation and to obtain the maximum amount of accurate information for such a scene reconstruction..
