6. COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND POLICIES

There shall be THREE examinations. Not one exam shall be considered void. Absence during
the examinations is discouraged. In case of absence, the student is required to take a make-up
exam after presenting an excuse slip.

There shall be exercises to be done in the class. Not one shall be considered void.

There shall be announced and unannounced quizzes of undetermined number. Not one quiz
shall be considered void.

There shall be no make-up for quizzes due to absences.

Academic dishonesty (cheating) is considered a misconduct. If a student is found cheating then

he/she will be given an automatic grade of 5.00 in the course.
Grading Policy

The passing mark for all examinations and quizzes is 60%. Only the final grade will be rounded
off to whole numbers for the determination of the course grade.

Questions regarding examination results will be entertained only within one week following the
return of the papers in the class. Within the same period, other unclaimed papers shall be at the
instructor-in-charges office. Later than this, all other unclaimed papers shall be thrown away.

If the final standing is lower than 60% but at least 55%, the student shall be required to take a
removal examination to be scheduled by the instructor, after which he/she shall receive a mark
of either 3.00 or 5.00 only. Failure to take the removal examination at the designated
schedule shall mean a final grade of 5.00 in the course.

A student shall be graded as follows:
