Hi Friends,

Hope you are all doing great! I am thankful that we have survived this past year! I
must say that it was rougher and tougher than I ever expected it would be!
Physically it was tiring and emotionally it was very draining, BUT we are surviving
due to Gods grace, and now we are looking forward to a bit of a breather during
Christmas.

Pray for our Co-workers.
This is shared first as its right now
heaviest on our hearts. Our Co
workers, Dave and Judy Wright will
be returning back to their home
country before rejoin the work. Their
daughter at home is really struggling
and they are returning earlier to
support her. I encourage them in
this as too often our kids have taken
the backseat to our ministries.
Please pray for wisdom and Gods
abounding grace to Katie their daughter.

OUTREACHES
Just a month back, the Mengen believers participated in two surveys branching
off our north coast church plant to villages that are now requesting the same
teaching of Gods Word. But we are awaiting upon the Lord to prepare more
Mengen families to be able to carry these outreaches.
Wow its just amazing if you think about
how God has saved these guys about
in 2008/9 and how they are now
reaching out to new areas, but how
these new areas are aso starting to
reach out beyond their own villages!

Please pray for our believers as they
evaluate if, when and how they can
help these new village requesting
teaching.

TRAINESS MULTIPLIED
We have 5 bible teacher trainees being discipled
as they teach our evangelistic bible lessons in
our village. Yes, there are growing pains,
stumbling, hard conversations, tears, humbling
oneself, lots of prayer, encouraging But bit by
bit they are growing, picking up the mantle. The
greatest prayer request for these dear men is
that they will know what it means to work in the
fullness of the Spirit as they walk in dependency
on Him alone so that they thirst for that in their
daily lives, as they teach and disciple.

CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT
Praise the Lord for His grace as our co workers
have been fighting to get ahead of our guys
teaching evangelistically with revised lessons
with
bound lessons, and all the needed
resources such as charts and pictures.
Our team have finally succeeded for our
north coast church plant, and the
teaching in our home village. But now
we need to high tail it on the phase 2
and 3 material and discipleship lessons
in both Mengen and the trade language
which includes the Acts lessons. Please
pray for continued grace, wisdom and
stamina for my co worker, Dave, and for
me as I prepare to return.

THANK YOU
There is much more that I could write stories of Gods work in lives, people
being drawn to the Lord, spiritual battles, needs within the church, a second
evangelistic teaching in our home village, needs within our own lives, equipment
advances for the work and the list goes on and on, but that will all have to wait for
the next letter.

Thank you so very much for the way that you continually take us and the Mengen
people before the throne of grace on a daily basis. And thanks for your active
financial support of all that is happening. Also thanks so much for those who
continued to support us during our time in SA!

May the Lord continue to richly bless you,

Lourens for the Mengen church
