Dimenses do mobilirio e do equipamento na habitao

Resumo

Para que as habitaes sejam adequadas ao uso devem conter espaos com rea,
dimenses e equipamentos que permitam o desenvolvimento das funes
domsticas, bem como possibilitar o acesso conveniente aos espaos que as
constituem. A rea e as dimenses de cada espao das habitaes devem ser
determinadas tendo em considerao o mobilirio e o equipamento necessrios ao
desenvolvimento das funes domsticas. As dimenses do mobilirio e do
equipamento so portanto informao tcnica essencial para a elaborao e a
anlise de projectos de edifcios habitacionais.
Nesta publicao apresentam-se as dimenses do mobilirio e do equipamento
frequentemente utilizados na habitao. So tambm apresentadas as dimenses de
alguns elementos construtivos (e.g., portas e escadas) e veculos (e.g., bicicletas,
motociclos e automveis), que se consideram necessrios para o dimensionamento
dos espaos da habitao.
As dimenses foram definidas com base na anlise de uma amostra de mobilirio e
de equipamento comercializado em Portugal. A amostra foi constituda com
informao retirada de catlogos impressos ou disponveis na Internet. As dimenses
obtidas na anlise da amostra foram aferidas com as dimenses definidas em
bibliografia de referncia.
Para cada elemento so indicadas as suas dimenses fsicas e as suas dimenses de
uso, estabelecidas segundo trs nveis de desempenho (i.e., mnimo, recomendvel e
ptimo).
Aps a introduo, a publicao contm um captulo com as dimenses
antropomtricas estticas de indivduos adultos portugueses. Os captulos seguintes
abordam cada uma das onze funes em que foi dividido o uso da habitao. Cada
um destes captulos contm: uma descrio resumida da funo, a listagem das
actividades includas na funo, desenhos com as dimenses do mobilirio e do
equipamento utilizado nessa funo, desenhos com esquemas que ilustram a
utilizao desse mobilirio e equipamento, e notas de apoio interpretao dos
desenhos.

Dimensions of housing furniture and equipment

Abstract

To ensure functionality, dwellings should contain spaces with area, dimensions and
equipment that enable the development of domestic functions, as well as
convenient access to spaces that constitute them. The area and dimensions of each
space of the dwellings should be set taking into account the furniture and equipment
necessary to the development of the domestic functions. The dimensions of
furniture and equipment are therefore essential technical information to develop
and analyse dwelling designs.
This publication presents the dimensions of furniture and equipment frequently used
in dwellings. The dimensions of some constructive elements (e.g., doors e stairs) and
vehicles (e.g., bicycles, motorcycles and cars) are also presented, because they are
considered necessary for the design of dwelling's spaces.
The dimensions were defined based on analysis of a sample of furniture and
equipment sold in Portugal. The sample was made with information taken from
catalogues available online or printed. The dimensions obtained in the analysis of the
sample were compared with the dimensions set in bibliography.
For each element the physical dimensions and the dimensions in use are defined,
according to three performance levels (i.e., minimum, recommended and optimal).
After the introduction, the publication contains a chapter with the most common
static anthropometric measurements of Portuguese adult persons. The following
chapters cover each of the eleven functions in which the housing use was divided.
Each of these chapters contains: a brief description of the function, the list of
activities included in the function, drawings with the dimensions of the furniture and
equipment used in that function, drawings with diagrams that illustrate the use of
furniture and equipment, and notes to support the interpretation of drawings.
