Parad Vigyan- The Mercury Alchemy.

The Parad Vigyan or the Mercury Alchemy is the science brought forth to this
world through Lord Shiv himself through tradition and lineages. The Indian term for alchemy is
"Rasayana"(Rasa+yana). Rasa means Mercury and yana means the procedure. So Rasayana is
the alchemy procedure carried through Parad or Mercury. Mercury is the metal in a liquid form
and is also known as the sperm of Lord Shiva himself and it is also his favorite metal. Parad is
the beloved metal of siddha too because the Nath and Siddha tradition of Indian spiritualism was
started by Lord Shiva himself making him first Nath and Siddha and that lineage is still
continued and has reached "Mahayogi Satyendra Nath Ji Maharaj" from Navanath and through
84 siddhas. "Ishaputra Kaulantak Nath" hails from Siddha lineage and he got this knowledge
from his gurus. "Mahayogi Satyendra Nath Ji Maharaj" is the current chief of "Kaulantak Peeth",
the Peeth is the oldest known Peeth started by Mahadev himself which boundary starts from the
mountains of Russia passing along the Tora Bora range of Afghanistan surpassing the Hinglaj
Devi Temple at Baluchistan, Pakistan, encompassing the whole Himalaya of Nepal and Bhutan,
Mount Kailash and ending at the Himalayas of Burma. The whole Himalayan Mountain Range
comes under Kaulantak Peeth and this Peeth harbours the ship of all knowledge ranging from
ayurveda to alchemy, tantra to yoga, karma kanda to mantra etc.

The mystery behind Rasa and its etymology is that Rasayana is just not limited to
alchemy and the endeavor behind is not about transmutation of metals into silver and gold,
longetivity. These might be one of the reasons but the main concept behind it was the
construction of the base element that pervades the whole universe and is responsible for all the
reaction, construction and destruction of the whole universe and all its aspects. That base element
is termed as Rasa and rasa incorporates Parad through which the whole act is performed.
Rasayana is also popular in west as Alchemy. The hermits from places like Egypt, Rome, Yunan.
China, Iran used to come to India to learn Alchemy and then study everything here and then go
back to there places to carry out welfare works. This is the secretive knowledge of Siddhas and
those days Siddhas were the rich hermits. Even the kings used to come to there hermitage and
serve them and in return give the Siddhas used to give them golds and secret knowledges. Parad
is used in many fields of both spiritualism and materialism. In materialism the transmutation of
metals to gold and silver is carried and also in healing. There is a modern technique of healing
diseases through the use of medical ashes. This medical ashes is made from the ashes of mercury
and because of the Siddha first initiating it, it got its name as "Siddhapathy". In spiritualism it is
used for the mysterious and secretive practice called "Mritak Uthapan Prayog" or "Resurrecting
the dead". It is possible only through the use of Mercury. Its is also used in longetivity. There are
many examples of siddhas who are still Mahachiranjivi and is residing in Himalayas. In the
western society Artephius was an alchemist who was known for his longetivity and his records
are his proof. It is also used for Kayakalpa meaning transforming from old age to being youth
again. There are many other uses too. The western Alchemy bases itself on the pursuit of
"Philosopher's stone" and in Indian spiritualism known as "Chintamani". The "Philosopher's
stone" is used for the transmutation of metals into gold and silver. According to the sources the
Philosopher's stone is more of a powder then a gem and even a small ounce of it is capable of
turning heaps amount of metals into gold and silver. The pursuit of "Philosopher's stone" was the
main reason for many scientist of the world of those days to visit India to unlock the mysteries.
To conlude the post I can only offer praise for all the siddhas who have had
this science preserved for this long. There are many pseudo gurus who teaches Rasayana without

proper knowledge and through unknown traditions. Lord Shiva in agama and nigama has stated,
"Those who teach and practice Rasayana without a capable guru and further teaches it unto
others, the individual end is imminent." Parad is not the topic of haphazard practice but a known
science which only unfolds throught gurus grace. "Mahayogi Satyendra Nath Ji Maharaj" is
organising a shivir on "Raseshwari Sadhana Diksha and Parad Vigyan" on July 20-21st July and
the allocated seats for sadhaks is already full and no seats available and we are surprised at
people's keen interest on this topic. This particular science needs rejuvenation and
reestablishment and we hope we find sadhaks who can carry the legacy of Siddhas in this day
and age.
