Printer Down? Give Patrons a Heads-up with LPT:One 4.8

LPT:One version 4.8 provides new displays in the Print Release Terminal and the Print Client that
will help ease patron and staff confusion and frustration when a printer is not available.

To enable this new feature follow these quick and easy steps:

Step 1:
Start the LPT:One Administrator using the shortcut from the desktop or the shortcut located at
Program Files>Envisionware>LPT One>LPT One Administrator.

Library RFID Systems

Step 2:
Click Printer Families.
In the screen below the LPT:One Administrator has been configured for a Printer Family. Your
display may show more printers and more printer families.

Step 3:
Choose a Printer Family to configure and then double-click the icon.
The system displays the Printer Family Information screen.

Step 4:
Click to select the Warn users when printers are unavailable option.
The system displays the selected preference.

Step 5:
Click OK.
The system closes the window and returns to the screen similar to the one below.

Step 6:
Click Done.
The system prompts to save the changes.

Step 7:
Click Yes to save the changes and continue.
The system prompts to restart the Job Queue Engine.

Step 8:
Click Yes to restart the JQE, which is required to commit the changes to the print system.
The system initiates the restart.

The system completes the restart and displays a confirmation.

Step 9:
Click OK. The system closes the window and returns to the desktop.
