- Complementary to each other, quite comical
- Conscious of their image; planned discourse

- Normal/typical girl
- Wants to have the last word
- Adds some normality (girl drama) to Marks life

- Not given much camera time or dialogue, but is present through all the lawsuits and
her reactions are shown

- Men seem powerful, but there is a negative connotation to them (ex. When rating
girls on Facemash)
- Girls are victimized in many sections of the movie
Class/socioeconomics
- Inequality: The twins and Eduardo are richer, come from higher background.
Accepted by The Phoenix, more popular.
- Mark comes from a lower class, has to ask Eduardo for money to invest in the
business
- People tend to think Mark wants money misconceptions.
Harvard
- We know only what we see
- Movie tries to portray Harvard as a diversified university, not only a nerdy one (shows
parties)
College students
- Follow the norms (Work hard, party hard)
- Want to be famous
Friendship
- No loyal friendship in the movie lots of betrayals (ex. By Eduardo, By Mark)
- Mostly controlling relationships (ex. Sean)
- Unstable concept
Success (how it is defined by various characters, and with which definition are we supposed
to agree?)
- Mark wants to be remembered
- Winklevoss twins always successful, never any failure
- Sean making a name (similar to Mark. Reason why he can influence him)
- Eduardo Not getting into trouble, hanging out with the cool crowd, being social
- Erica Maintaining a good social life and reputation
