Smoke-Free Bars and Restaurants Law Takes Effect January 2, 2010

Ever wish you could enjoy that entrée without the odor of cigarette
smoke? At midnight on January 2, 2010, restaurants, bars and other
businesses that serve food and drink in Randolph County will become
smoke-free, to the delight of health advocates and the many local resi-
dents who are looking forward to healthier nights out. This will happen
as a result of a new law that prohibits smoking in all restaurants and
bars across North Carolina.

“The new smoke-free law will help protect workers and customers from the known health haz-
ards of secondhand smoke, and may encourage many folks to eat out more
than ever, now that doing so will be safer,” said MiMi Cooper, Health Direc-
tor.
For more information about the law or to report a violation, visit
www.smokefree.nc.gov or call the CARE-LINE at 1-800-662-7030. Informa-
tion is also available by calling the Randolph County Health Department at
(336) 318-6200.

4. Lukewarm Christians don’t hate sin… they hate the PENALTY of sin (Ex. Hell, God spanking them), but they don’t hate the sin in their life.
Romans 12:9 says: “HATE WHAT IS WRONG. HOLD TIGHTLY TO WHAT IS GOOD”.

Matt. 7:21: “NOT EVERYONE WHO CALLS OUT TO ME, ‘LORD! LORD!’ WILL ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. ONLY THOSE WHO ACTUALLY DO THE WILL OF MY

6. Lukewarm Christians compare themselves to the WORST people around them… as long as they can think of someone who does poorer than they do, then they

They don’t think that a loving God would send “good” people to Hell.
Romans 10:9: “IF YOU CONFESS WITH YOUR MOUTH THAT JESUS IS LORD AND BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, YOU WILL BE SAVED”.
Is that you? ______
13. Lukewarm Christians drink and cuss less than the average non-Christian, but that’s about all the difference you’ll find.
Their lives wouldn’t look much different if they suddenly stopped believing in God.
Matthew 25:27-28: “WHAT SORROW AWAITS YOU... FOR YOU ARE LIKE (PAINTED) TOMBS—BEAUTIFUL ON THE OUTSIDE BUT FILLED ON THE INSIDE WITH DEAD PEOPLE’S
BONES… OUTWARDLY YOU LOOK LIKE (GOOD) PEOPLE, BUT INWARDLY YOUR HEARTS ARE FILLED WITH HYPOCRISY”.
Is that you? ______
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
Jesus says in Revelation 3:15-16: “I KNOW ALL THE THINGS YOU DO, THAT YOU ARE NEITHER HOT NOR COLD. I WISH THAT YOU WERE ONE OR THE OTHER! BUT SINCE
YOU ARE LIKE LUKEWARM WATER, NEITHER HOT NOR COLD, I WILL SPIT YOU OUT OF MY MOUTH!”
