Background
Our two year curriculum results in a Master of Science (MS) degree. The MS program
consists of courses in the fundamentals of nuclear power plant engineering during the
1st year, and specialized programs during the 2nd year. These programs include team
project courses focusing on the engineering and management aspects of NPP design,
operation, and maintenance. This helps students become better prepared to contribute
to their energy organizations.
KINGS University has close ties with the KEPCO group of companies, which participate
in each phase of the NPP lifecycle. This enables KINGS University to provide a high
level of practical training and engineering education. Moreover, KINGS University is
located next to the Kori NPP complex. KINGS University also works closely with IAEA
to promote NPP human resources development, through a Practical Arrangement for
Cooperation and Promotion of Education and Training System.
