Dynamic Self Balancing Modulating Control Valve - FCU

1. The valve shall be an electronic, dynamic, modulating, 2-way, pressure independent control valve.
2. The valve shall have an in-build differential pressure controller that ensures a constant differential
pressure across the control valve, thus ensuring a constant flow through the valve.
3. The valve shall provide a control accuracy of at least 5% of the specified design valve, independent of
the system pressure fluctuation.
4. Maximum flow settings shall be externally adjustable to 1 to 41 different flow rate settings within the
range of the valve.
5. The valve shall have a Flow regulation Unit which consists of Glass-reinforced PPS and HNBR Diaphragm.
Flow Regulating Unit must be readily accessible, for change-out or maintenance and adjustable with the
valve in-line and system in operation.
6. The valve actuator shall be rated to IP54 and driven by 24V AC/DC or 230V AC, and accept 0(2)-10V DC
control signal.
7. The valve should be able to work in a minimum temperature range of -20C to +120C.
8. Valve housing with thread connections in sizes from 15mm to 40mm shall be made of forged brass ASTM
CuZn40Pb2, rated no less than 2500kPa of static pressure.
9. The valves shall be fitted with extended pressure/temperature test plugs for verifying accuracy of flow
performance and allow optimizing the setting of the pump head in the most critical terminal unit not
more than 16kPa.

1. The valve shall be an electronic, dynamic, modulating, 2-way, pressure independent control valve.
2. The valve shall have an in-build differential pressure controller that ensures a constant differential
pressure across the control valve, thus ensuring a constant flow through the valve.
3. The valve shall provide a control accuracy of at least 5% of the specified design valve, independent of
the system pressure fluctuation.
4. Maximum flow settings shall be externally adjustable to 1 to 51 different flow rate settings within the
range of the valve.
5. The valve and actuator coupling shall have snap couplings for fast mounting and demounting.
6. The valve shall have a Flow regulation Unit which consists of stainless steel and HNBR Diaphragm. Flow
Regulating Unit must be readily accessible, for change-out or maintenance and adjustable with the valve
in-line and system in operation.
7. All Valve actuator shall be of modulating design and construction, enabling easy replacement or
interchanging of actuator. Actuator shall be interchangeable for all sizes. Flow Setting must be done at
the actuator with automatic calibration of valve position.
8. All valves actuator shall be rated to IP54 including up-side-down mounting which provide 100% authority.
Actuator shall be driven by a 24V AC/DC which shall accept 0-10V DC, 2-10V DC, 0-20mA, 4-20mA input
signal and capable of providing the same input as feedback signal to the control system.
9. Actuator shall include display and buttons for external programming of all setting. External display shall
include current valve flow rate, maximum valve flow, input signal, feedback signal and notification of
jamming / abnormal situation
10.All valve actuator shall have fail safe power storage feature to be at fully opened or closed position
without an external power supply during power failure.
11.The valve should be able to work in a minimum temperature range of -20C to +120C.
12.Valve housing with connections in sizes from 50mm to 150mm shall be made of ductile iron ASTM A53665T, Class 60-45-48 rated no less than 4000kPa of static pressure.
13.The valves shall be fitted with extended pressure/temperature test plugs for verifying accuracy of flow
performance and allow optimizing the setting of the pump head in the most critical terminal unit not
more than 35kPa.
14.Identification tags shall be available for all valves indelibly marked with model number and the pressure
range. Tags shall be of aluminum.
