2 Introduction
The MPE10 is an LVDS to VGA converter. LVDS signals are input to the module. They are
demultiplexed by LVDS receiver. The parallel output (3x 8 bit) is converted to three analog
signals for red, green and blue. Color information and Syncs (HS, VS) are output on VGAconnector.
The converter is independent from display solution and clock frequency. LVDS timing is
directly converted to VGA.
Please pay attention on the LVDS signal description. The connector usage may vary for
different display controllers.

3 Power
The MPE10 is powered via LVDS connector using 3.3V.
Make sure the LVDS connector delivers 3.3V. Maximum supply voltage is 3,6V. Higher
voltage may damage the module.

4 LVDS multiplexing
There are 2 standards in the market for LVDS multiplexing graphic signals. The MPE10 is
using the 6/8-bit compatibility mode.
The MPE10 will not work on different multiplexing modes.
Please check if your display controller offers this scheme. The LVDS-receiver used is
National DS90C384MTD. For more information see DS90C384 datasheet.
