FRP (Fibre reinforced plastics) also (fibre-reinforced polymers) or
GRP (Glass fibre reinforced polymers) is a composite material.
The polymer are usually an epoxy and vinyl ester or polyester
thermosetting plastic resins still used. The fibre is usually glass,
carbon high-performance composites when they are heated
above their activation temperatures and will exhibit high strength
and stiffness at lower temperatures. The also will be reheated and
shaped repeatedly without losing the material properties.
Composites are ideal for applications such as lightweight, rigid,
deployable structures, rapid manufacturing and dynamic
reinforcement..
