+ 110KW BLDC Motor with Controller

Technologies Used: Worked with IGBTs, MOSFETS, Power rectifiers.
Description: Design, Development and Fabrication of one 110KW rim driven
propulsion motor and controller assembly and integration of this system into the
shell of a Torpedo. This is a new technology
where in the power source required to drive the propeller is right at the actuation
point. The packaging is also quite compact by utilizing the space available in the
cowl aerofoil for housing the BLDC motor.

The installation will also facilitate better heat transfer since the entire motor is fully
soaked in the water stream and the controller body is installed close to the outer
shell of the torpedo with fins.
Role:

Performed Inverter Design, assembly and testing, PCB layout for

Interface Board, PWM Coding.
