The contents of this book are presented into many chapters, in
order to ease reading. The project has been illustrated with precise data elucidated
with neat System Flowchart, dataflow diagram, Entity-Relationship diagram and
Use Case diagram that simplify in understanding the software. The project includes
the software development tools like c#, crystal reports to present the software very
precisely.
Meticulous care has been taken to make this project perfect and
useful in every respect.

Project Definition:
This Software will be helpful in the smooth functioning of the organization
due to integration of various functions.
The software maintains central database with following information stored in
different tables:
Product details in the database table.
Search Product.
Registration of customer
Stock Details
Add Products
Supplier Details.
Purchase Details.
Invoice Print, Sales Details

About Existing System

The present system is totally depend on manual data management for

different activities such as maintaining details of customer,supplier etc.

They maintain Different registers for various activities such as storing

and searching data which is tedious and time consuming task.

In present system all transactions are done manually with pen and paper
so the frequent updating is not possible. Also generating reports, bills
accurately is not possible with current system.

There are various other problems for instance, if customer come for the
inquiry of particular Parcel and if that Parcel is not available then it is
difficult to remember about it.

In short system is lacking facilities such as searching, deleting ,adding

data efficiently and effectively.

Drawbacks of Existing System

1. It is manual and time consuming.

2. It utilizes a large amount of space for customer and supplier transaction
information in paper files

3. Some time manual calculation may be incorrect thus, leading to the

incorrect information

4. A large amount of data cannot be viewed at a glance

5. No reminder for customer and Purchaser.
6. Some time the calculation has to be done manually so it requires a lot of
work.

7. Updating is not performed that efficiently and may lead complications.

8. No security as data can be misplaced or damaged.
9. Lastly, it was not offers a user friendly work environment

Need For New System

Working with current system is quite tedious, complicated and time consuming
task. It may lead errors .certain operations such as surfing searching, adding,
removing, entries cannot be done efficiently.
Maintaining different registers for various activities such as storing and searching
data which is tedious and time consuming task.
Generating reports, bills are much tedious task with new system.
Hence the organization needs new system with enhanced features. Features such as
automatic report generation, bill generation, computing complicated calculations,
performing operations such as adding, deleting, updating and searching etc. System
should be user friendly.

Proposed System

We hereby are grateful to present our software project through this report.Our
proposed system is compute based. Which provide various User interfaces (Forms)
for various operations and hence interactive.
The system is able to generate calculations , bills ,reports automatically.
Operations such as adding, removing, searching customers, suppliers and
employees can be done efficiently and effectively by proposed system.
Adding Parcels category and unit wise is possible with the help of this system.
System can efficiently perform various transactions such as sales, purchase and
maintain data after each transaction.
In short proposed system is user-friendly.

Feasibility Study:
The feasibility study is the important step in any software development
process. This is because it makes analysis different aspects like cost required for
developing and executing the system, the time required for each phase of the
system and so on. If these important factors are not analyzed then definitely it
would have impact on the organization and the development of the system wills
totally b a failure.
So for running the project and organization successfully this step is very
important step in a software development life cycle process.
Therefore we have to determine the system requested is feasible or not.
This helps us to check technical, operational and financial feasibility of the
requested system against the current system. The data collection done at the
preliminary stage examines that the system, which are developing will be
beneficial to the medical stores. The various types of feasibility study that we
have done are technical and economical.

Time & Legal Feasibility:

In this type of feasibility study, we examine whether our proposed project
can be completed in the specified time frame or not and it does not break any
laws. So it is legally feasible too.
Technical feasibility
Our information system uses Visual Basic 6.0 on windows platform as a
frontend and MS Access as backend to store the database related shop billing
system. We use visual basic as an interoperability, version able, flexible etc. we
have chosen MS Access for database maintenance as it can hold large amount of
data records, security and several other features so the system can be expanded
if developed for future scope. It technically assures the accuracy, reliability and
data security.

Other minimum hardware required is as follows

Pentium IV Processor or Higher.

256 MB RAM
20 GB HDD
80 Column Printers

Behavior Feasibility:
As the project is very easy to implement with ease and convenience,
behavioral analysis methods in a measure of how well a proposed system solves a
problem and take advantages of opportunities identified during scope definition
and how it satisfies the requirement analysis phase of system development.
Financial & Economical Feasibility
The cost of the hardware and software is feasible, as it requires
investments at the start of the system like the computers printers etc. but a
normal computer user will definitely poses the following configuration which is
the requirement of the system we developed. It basically deals with economical
impacts of the system on the environment it is used, that is benefits in creating
the system. In the case of our project we are assuming an economically feasible
solution.

256 MB RAM
Windows XP as an Operating System.
So with the use of this system, the shop staff doesnt have to invest any extra
amount for the working of the system. The current manual system requires
investment and also uses lot of space for paper workers; files storage in
cupboards etc. and valuable time is wasted. Thus the software system is feasible
in technical and financial aspects.
