Deductor Registration and Login

for Migrated User (from TIN)

Registration for Migrated User

Click on Login in TRACES

home page or on top bar

Click on Login in TRACES

home page or on top bar

Migrated Deductor (or User) refers to deductors who have registered their TAN on Tax
Information Network (TIN) and have a TAN Account in TIN
Such users need not register as new user on TRACES. They can login using User Id and Password
as in TIN and complete registration process

Migrated User Login to TRACES for first time

For more details
on any screen,
click on Help icon

Enter User Id and Password

for your TAN Account in TIN
and click on Go

For first time login to TRACES, migrated user from TIN must enter the User Id and Password for
their TAN Account in TIN

Landing Page

Landing page will be

displayed

Click on Profile to
update deductor details

Quick Links will be

disabled till account is
activated

Landing page will have only My Home and Profile in the top menu
Deductor must click on Profile, update their details and activate account to view all
functionalities available to deductor

Migrated User Step 1: Profile Details

on any screen,
click on Help icon

Click on help icon

next to each field for
more details

Enter details on
this screen and
click on Proceed

User Id in TRACES for migrated user will remain same as in TIN

Password must be changed to login to TRACES
Details entered here will be saved only in TRACES and will not be updated in TAN database
Other details can be changed after activating your account and logging in to your TRACES
account
To change details in TAN database, submit TAN change request form at www.tin-nsdl.com

Migrated User Step 2: Confirmation Page

Confirmation screen will
display values entered by
user in previous screens

Click on Back to
go to Step 1 to
edit details

Click on Submit to
confirm details and
proceed

User cannot edit details on confirmation screen

Success message will be
displayed confirming
registration of TAN with
TRACES

Click here to go
to home page

Registration is successful.
Check your email and mobile
for activation link and codes
to activate your account

Enter User Id of the
TAN
Enter activation codes
sent through email and
SMS

Click here to submit

Success message

Login to TRACES by
entering User Id and
new Password and
clicking on Go

User Id in TRACES for migrated user will remain same as in TIN

Enter new password as changed in Step-1
