NOTES:

Receiver Installation
Note: Two installation kits are available for this vehicle from Crutchfield.
One kit has fully integrated temperature controls. The other kit (with
pocket) is for a standard DIN unit and does not include temperature
controls. If using this kit, the factory radio will remain in the dash.
The instructions below are for the standard/pocket kit. If installing the
integrated kit, please follow instructions supplied with the kit.

Please read first

Inspect factory receiver harness connector in vehicle.

Ensure that the wiring adaptor received from
Crutchfield plugs into the vehicles connector. If the
connector is missing or incorrect, please call our
Technical Support Department at 1-800-955-9094.

FIGURE 2

Receiver Mounting Bracket

1. Match all wires by function, individually taping off wires that do not have
a match. Connect the wiring adaptor (supplied with the installation kit)
to the receiver. Note: Refer to information on the wiring adaptor package and in your receiver manual. Make final wiring connections following instructions on page 11. When completed, return to this page and
continue with step 2.

3. Slide DIN sleeve into receiver mounting bracket. Secure sleeve to
bracket by bending the securing tabs (Figure 2).
4. Slide receiver fully into sleeve (Figure 3).
5. Connect the white plug of the wiring adaptor to the blue plug in the
dash that was disconnected from the rear of the factory radio.
6. Hold factory radio/climate control assembly near dash. Connect blue
power plug of the wiring adaptor harness to the rear of the factory
radio. Connect the green climate control harness to the rear of the
assembly. Reinstall assembly with screws previously removed.

Wire Splicing Guide

CRIMP METHOD
1. Cut factory wires behind

wire back 1/2.

New speaker wires are spliced into

factory wires behind harness.

1. Carefully strip out a 1/2
section on each factory
speaker wire behind the
factory speaker harness.

2. Twist wires from new

speaker to stripped
sections of factory wires
as shown making sure
polarity is correct.
