Most of the top sources of productivity loss are about people and how they are
managed. Virtual and multi-national teams make the situation worse. What if you could
take the time wasted on people problems and apply it to getting better project results,
faster? This seminar, based on an international proven social style model, teaches you
specifically how to spend less time getting people to do more.
You will learn specifically how to:
Confront people without conflict or guilt;
Build trust with team members and stakeholders;
Focus on the real issues and eliminate victim behavior;
Cut through the smoke screens that people use;
Give positive feedback that works; and
Persuade people to get results.

Project success and failure is directly related to perceptions of its stakeholders of the
value created by the project and the nature of their relationship with the project team.
The Stakeholder Circle helps project teams manage their projects unique stakeholder
community. The methodology provides an effective mechanism for identifying then
assessing the relative influence of the projects stakeholders, understanding their
expectations, and defining appropriate engagement procedures to influence their key
stakeholders expectations and perceptions to the benefit of the project. As the project
progresses, the effectiveness of the engagement processes can be measured and
where necessary, modified.
The workshop is based around a case study and progresses through each stage of
effective stakeholder management, blending theory with practice in an engaging,
informative manner. Participants working in small project teams identify and prioritize
their stakeholder community, then determine appropriate engagement, management
and monitoring strategies, whilst dealing with a major change in their stakeholder
community.
Who should attend?
All levels of project team leaders, project managers and other managers responsible for
the successful delivery of projects, or project deliverables.
What will my seminar experience cover?
This workshop will help project personnel develop the skills needed to build and
maintain robust project relationships using the Stakeholder Circle methodology and to
understand the importance of proactively managing the key relationships between the
stakeholder community and the project. At the conclusion of the workshop,
trainees will:
Understand the critical relationship between stakeholders perceptions of
the project and the projects ultimate success or failure.
Understand the importance of planned and managed communications in building
and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders.
