I was working for the Aircel-DATACENTRE located at Gurgaon. Almost 150 Sun servers of all range, 5 HP SuperDom and
Windows servers connected to different SAN boxes over the optic fiber channel network. We, a team of 4 members, were
primarily responsible for Storage Management (SAN) & volume management with Veritas and SVM.
Responsibilities
Responsible for managing and administrating all kind of middle and higher end storages at Aircel-Data Center.
Troubleshooting the issues escalated by user.
Administration of the data center components
Configuration and installation of newly added h/w components to the data center.
Monitoring snap view through Clariion and BCVs through DMX on backup servers for the successful execution of
BCV scripts.
Creation of backup or mis copy whenever space is added to Production systems. Perform the first full re-sync and
presenting same copy to the backup or mis server. Also make the provision for incremental re-sync.
Responsible for constructing reliable and scalable SAN fabric environment using Brocade switches like
3800/3850/4100. Zone management, setting port speed, firmware upgrades, port performance monitoring.
Logging calls with EMC for any h/w failure in case dial home is not created and following up with them in case of
any issue.
Daily re-sync of all the BCVs through Time Finder after successful testing.
Configure RAID Group on CLARiiON CX3-80/20, CX400, CX700 Storage System.
Bind/Create LUNs/Metas to RAID/Disk Group on CLARiiON CX3-80/20, CX400, CX700, Symmetrix(DMX and
VMAX) and Storage System.
Configure Storage/Clone Groups on CLARiiON CX3-80/20, CX400, CX700, and Storage System.
Taking care of snap/clone view in Clariion boxes.

primarily responsible for System/Server administration, Storage Management (SAN & NAS) & volume management with
Veritas, SVM and AIX LVM.
Responsibilities
Systems Administration
Installation and Up gradation of Sun OS with Veritas foundation suite and IBM AIX 5.2/5.3.
Administration of Users and Groups.
Manipulation and Alteration of File Systems, Disk Space Management using LVM and Veritas Volume manager in
HPUX and SUN Solaris 5.9/5.10 respectively.
Schedule the daily backups
System reboot for daily power cycles
Performance monitoring and tuning using traditional tools and customized scripts.
OS Hardening of the servers for Security Purpose.
