INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEERING
Department of Control System and Instrumentation Engineering was first
established in 1995 by the Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkuts University of
Technology Thonburi, The department offers a four-year undergraduate bachelor
degree in Control System and Instrumentation Engineering. The main objective of the
program is to support the industrial parts of Thailand by engineers who graduate
from this program. In the first two years of the bachelor program, students are
introduced to wide range of basic science and engineering topics such as
mathematics, physical, material sciences, computer programming and so on. Along
with basic science and engineering topics, the theoretical background necessary to
support the study for the next two years, is given, such as circuit theory, fundamental
of electronics, digital circuit and design, electrical machine, electrical and electronic
measurement, and introduction to signals and systems. In the third and fourth years,
courses are more specialized and industrially oriented. Our lectures and laboratories,
including industrial training, provide the student invaluable experiences and
knowledge of the design and implementation of industrial system.
After graduation, students are able to make substantial progresses towards
developing skills and personal qualities needed for many of todays high technology
industries. This will include the further development of their communication skills and
their ability to motivate, integrate or work with other members of their team.
