The weekend of January 17th and 18th is going to be a great one for St. Francis.
GAME NIGHT at the Ber ner ts. Saturday night at 6:30, bring a dish to share and a game,
if you have a favorite. Rumor has it that therell be good poker going on in the basement.
SOUPER BOWL Sunday at the Lodge on Sunday after 10:15 a.m. wor ship. For this
youth-group sponsored event, delicious soup and bread are served and a free will offering is

one. The youth have chosen for the money to be given to Heifer International and Project Peanut
Butter Project.
Wait, theres more! While we are eating delicious, simple soups, Michael Booker will teach
Adult Forum on the topic of Food in the Bible. Sounds like a great day!

2 1/2 cups cooked cauliflower (I use frozen, cooked until tender, in the microwave)
1 cup sour cream (low fat works here, too)
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (full-fat works
best)
3 green onions, finely chopped
3 -6 slices crumpled cooked bacon or 3 -6 slices
turkey bacon
Salt and pepper
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 350.
Chop cooked cauliflower into very small pieces.
Mix sour cream, 1/2 of the green onions, 1/2 of the cheese, 1/2 of the bacon, and salt
and pepper to taste in medium bowl.
Stir in the cauliflower.
Place in medium baking dish and sprinkle remaining cheese and bacon on top.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Sprinkle the remaining green onions on top just before serving.

Other reports
Wardens reports Jim Eckhardt had only a reminder that reports of committee
activities for the annual report and celebration of accomplishments need to be turned
in by January 16th.
Concerns, comments? Joe OReilly brought up a need for parish recognition for
Max Starbuck. Will be recognized at annual meeting. Sue Schmidt has already sent
one card.

2015 Budget
Below is the proposed 2015 budget that was unanimously approved by the Bishops Committee at their meeting on December 21, 2014 for presentation and adoption by the congregation at St. Francis annual meeting on Jan 25, 2015.
You will see that this is a deficit budget, the first since 2009. However, we have
healthy cash reserves in the bank. The Treasurer Suzanne Jones and Bishops Committee believe that we can accommodate this deficit and still have a good cushion of
cash left over.
