The uniqueness of our country's secularism is getting destroyed by the politicians through their caste communal views. Our country is respected all over the world not for only secularism but also for equal
respect for all religions. Its really pathetic to see and witness that our politicians are just trying to
instigate the religious issues and cash on their vote banks.

Religion is something very subjective and individual to a person. Its not more than life but surely guides
us a way to live. But what surpasses everything is our identity as an INDIAN. We are hindus or muslims
after that. The day we stop voting for people on the basis of their work, performance and caliber and
not on their caste, political scenario will change which is exactly what happened in Lok Sabha elections 2014, where people from all castes and communities have shown faith in Mr. Narendra Modi.

Yes I agree religion should not be mixed with politics. Actually these two are separate things which is
mostly used by the politicians for their benefit not for the society. Mostly Indian people are emotional
they cast their vote to the candidate of his own religion. They think that they may help when they are in
problems but after elections no one care the people. So people should give their votes to the candidate
by his commitment, intention and work.

mentality of people about choosing the leaders of their religion are changing. The solution was always

Yes Religion should not be mixed with politics. A political leader should be selected based on his
commitment and dedication towards work not to which religion he/she belongs. Also religion might
some time result into political grievance among politicians. Though it sometimes gives an advantage in
respect to vote, but still I am against religion mixing with politics.

We all are Human beings and should not be differentiated by caste barrier. So Caste card should not be
played in the politics as this leads to impact in a bad way to the followers of the political entity whci in
extreme case can lead to riots etc. Religion has nothing to do with Politics one should not use the
religion as far as politics is concerned.

Religion is a pure drop of water we should not mix it with the politics as this may lead to a poisonous
mixture which can lead us to the unwanted outcome. Thus so as to maintain the balance of the system
we should not include the religion with politics.

Hello everyone I feel that religion should not be mixed with politics for votes but it can be mixed with
politics for countries development. We can learn from our epics like ramayana and mahabharta and use
the principles in todays life to ensure development of people. History reveals that politics has always
followed religion, but today the trend has reversed and religion is following politics which is disastrous
for our country.

I completely agree with this statement. As now a days we see our politician win election on the name of
caste and religion and suppress the real matter that is development. These kind of politician mainly
target on illiterate public as they better know that an educated people is not going to cast his vote on
the basis of caste and religion. But the illiterate people think that if he is from my caste then he will
support me. And after voting he finds himself fooled. So in my opinion religion or caste should not be
mixed with politics. Development should be main agenda of politics.

Religion should not be mixed with politics because in a country like India there are numerous religions
and what politicians try to do is they ask for vote as they are from same religion and this leads to
communal disharmony which is not good for our country. As we select the politicians to help us keep
peace in our country and not to divide in name of religion as they work for development of nation.
Should keep unity between us.

Religion is devotion, emotions and feelings that gives us the way to communicate with the almighty. And
politics is only a competition for gaining power. Both the terms are far different from one another. How
can we as a citizen vote a person on basis of his religion. Religion has no concern with politics. Pick any
religion in India all of them say the same thing "that humanity is the superior". Instead of checking the
religion f the candidate check on whether he is a honest human or not, does he have the power to lead,
to motivate, to guide.

According to my point of view religion can be mixed with politics according to different situations and
different circumstances. For example religion can be mixed with politics in countries where people are
more religious and have single religion only say Saudi Arabia. But this can't be true in case of India
because India have more diversity than any other nation although Indian people are very religious. India
is not single religion nation. According to our constitution India is secular country. But its people
constitute of different religions. As a nation needs unity among its people if it really desires to grow and
to become a strong nation. Which is not possible if any particular religion prevails in politics. It would
definitely hamper the growth of nation and may devastate the unity as we have witnessed in Delhi sikh
riots or Gujarat riots. Rights of minorities are equally important as of a majority group.

Religion and politcs never meant to be together in India. Unfortunately we see that religion is mixed
with Indian politics to a great extent. We the new generation should stop this trend for growth,
development and unity of our great nation. Thanks.

Hello everyone in my opinion religion should be kept apart from politics as mixing it with politics means
pouring petrol in fire. Politics can be a fire if not handled properly can create many riots among people
with the involvement of religion. Can the we all have past experiences of this.

The case in ayodhya is a perfect example of how politicians were playing with the emotion of people.
The country can never be changed from developing to developed till there is use of religion in politics.
So its the responsibility of every individual to keep religion out of politics and use the democracy in a
positive manner by electing the one who treats the people of India as indians.

I think religion should not be mixed with politics otherwise it will produce a disastrous effect on our life.
If we will look at the history we will find that it has already produced a much more disastrous effect on
our country and life. There are a lots of riots has already happened in our country behind which the
main reason was the politicization of some religious issue. Each religion has its own value and we have
no rights to divide the voters on the basis of their religion. That's why I think that religion should not be

We should not mix religion with politics, both are different in their perspectives. First of all we are
human beings, Every human being basic needs are food, clothing & shelter, then why this question of
religion will arise in politics, we have to elect the persons who will understand people's problem not the
one who is from upper caste.

Even now also people are voting the person's who are from their caste, not at all understanding what
they will do after electing them. In order to have change in our political system, first we have to support
or elect the person who is striving for the development of nation, not for the development of same

other words they play with peoples emotions for their benefit. If they truly want to do some good for
our country then they need not to blend religion and politics together. They should treat all people of
the country as one. But instead they try to collect votes by promising people that they will do this or
that for their religion, which is totally wrong. We do not select them for doing something for a particular

It's a concern when one looks at countries like Malaysia for an example were the majority faith now
dictates to the others in the country of different faiths what words they can use and have complete
control over others through the government who is more than happy to go along to secure their power
in office. One can find many examples all over that show the result of religion interfering in government.

And the results of intolerance and discrimination of those who happen not to follow a particular faith.

Politics of religion is a blow to the secular status of our country.

Politicians playing politics of such form and their victory are questions on our secularism.

Religion is a sensitive issue for any individual and any talks in favour of one particular religion can trigger
communal tensions and riots which hamper the functioning of law and order in the state.

Every religion teaches people to be tolerant to other religions and any politician using religion as an
agenda only displays his intolerance towards other faiths and his failure as a person.

Politicians must focus on development agendas to achieve good governance and.

This can get them votes from people of all religions and communities.

Good afternoon to everyone, Religion and politics are two great things one is beliefs of the people in
particular religion and the latter is very important for the development of our country.

The main aim of politics is to develop the entire nation and if any politician using religion in politics
clearly shows that he is considering one particular religion which is not going to help the country to
develop fully.

Because of this hatred among the people of our country increases and becomes reason for many other
problems.

So if politician really want to develop our country then he has to consider everyone as his own religion.

Religion should not be mixed with politics. When you are in politics and particularly when you are a
leader you cannot isolate yourself from serm the people of different religions and not serve them. You
enter into politics only to serve the people, you cannot do that by saying I will only serve the people of
my religion. Provoking hatred and belittling other religions is totally unacceptable. I personally feel that
having a belief in a religion is okay, but enforcing your beliefs on others isn't good. To be a good leader

Religion is a set of beliefs and principles which directs mankind to evolve himself for a better tomorrow.
Though the preachers may vary there can be only minor differences in the principles between one and
other religions. The problem arises when an individual ignores some of the principles, such as not
treating/viewing followers of other religions as an equal human being.

Thats why Politics came into picture a mechanism to govern a nation or a defined area. But the
politicians instead of serving the nation or the people coming under his purview, works only for the
betterment of his own community people. Even worse some politicians are dirupting the communal
harmony. Common man should elect an individual based on his virtues, values, ability to serve the
people. Not on the basis of his religion or caste.

parties targeting a particular community as part of vote bank politics. By doing so, such parties forget
that India is a secular country and thus good politics would be coming up with solutions to make the
country a haven for everybody irrespective of caste, creed, religion etc.

Thus, the parties instead of using religion should rather focus on values. Also, I believe that the voters

Now if we really think that politics and religion should not mix, then why we always looking for some

Hi friends,

In my point of view, the religion should not be mixed with politics due to this,

1. The social imbalance,

2. Violence,

* Due to some bad politicians for their own sake and there vote bank, mixing the politics with religion.

* Finally, I would like to conclude that if a person who become MLA or MP due to the religions can
he/she make the justice to different religions of people and this leads to the violence and injustice.

What I believe is that religion and politics are the two opposite banks of a river, that can never mix
together. And probably if they would mix in future there is always a chance of tsunami. Religion has
nothing to do with politics and vice versa. But now-a days, our great leaders are using these facts for
their own interest. They always try to motivate the innocent common people on the basis of caste,
creed or religion.

They influence the innocent people that I am from your caste, please vote in favour of me. I will work for
your betterment. But the truth is just otherwise. They only use this fact for their own interest. Once the
election is over, they don't care for them.

This kind of facts are hampering the nation's growth. Our's is a secular country. And it written in the
preamble of our constitution to treat everyone irrespective of caste, creed, religion and sex. But still our
greedy leaders use this fact and intermingle their political interest with the religion just to satisfy their
own benefits. This should not be done.

As per my views are concerned, religion and politics should not be mingled. Religion and politics are
different aspects that can't be seen with the same eye. Religion is a far more concern topic in India and

politics is just a game which never see anything. To acquire power, one should not use the beliefs of
people. Politics may get dirty but religion must not.

On the basis of religion only, some mentally disabled do crime and make others also inspire to do the
same.

We have done this mistake once at the time of our independence and should not be repeated again. At
that time also some have merged this topic and as a consequence of it, a large part of our country went
as Pakistan. Some naturist make religion as a way to fulfill their own needs on the behalf of their
religion, which creates violence and riot in the country itself.

It leads to the most wicked evil, terrorism, which has evolved as a major threat to India's integrity, every
state is suffering from insurgency. It not only detriment many lives but also have an adverse affect on
property, infrastructure, climatic changes etc. It looses our economical condition and creates rampage
all over.

Man can be mastered by fear or faith. Combination of fear of power and faith in religion proved good
for politics. Because of religion mixed with politics, the political parties don't work properly. As most of
the times party wins on the basis of the religion of the people living there in that particular region. They
make it as a prime concern to win the votes. In our country, it normally happens that a person will vote
the leader of his own community, which may lead to the wrong decisions. Here the leaders also know
that our people can be easily influenced by their religion, this is because of illiteracy, they just don't
think about who can be the right person to take their views and needs forward.

On one side we say to diminish all the evils like corruption, terrorism etc. And on the other we ourselves
are favouring these somewhere. It also effect the normal work of the people.

On its basis, some leaders promises to provide reservation to a particular community as a result others
also come on strike and want theirs to be also reserved. It not only creates destruction of the public but
also of property, a huge loss of transport, exchange, economic losses etc.

If our own people will do like this, it will encourage other nations and they will try to suppress us. If
these things happen in the country inside, it will also influence the internal relation of different states.

The politics should be reformed. This can be only done by changing the mindset of the people and
politicians. The younger should take the charge to lead India with only feeling to serve the country.
Politicians should raise the problems of people like illiteracy, inflation, corruption, development of
infrastructure etc. So we should think for the whole nation not for a particular community to enrich our
nation.

Thank you.

We must understand first the basic meaning of both politics as well as religion.

POLITICS BASICALLY EVOLVED FOR BETTERMENT OF OUR COUNTRY. Religions are created so that people
in the particular community will behave with particular manners and values. Which means Religion
teaches the person good thought and how to make the life beautiful. We all know that nowadays many
politicians are not working for our nation but they are working for money and power.

Whenever any person becomes a minister or a government servant he must think only about INDIA and
its improvement. Politician should not think about his or others religion.

Nowadays Politicians are using "religion" for their progress in very smart way and common man is facing
many problems because of it. So I think everyone should feel very proud about our country then only
politics and religion will not cause any hazard to at least common man.

adopt a common layman's mind and to indulge him to do thing that their political parties prefer. We at
all we mix politics with religion it can harm our democracy.

We have been an indecent, democratic and a developing country since last 66 years. Where every

No, religion and politics should not be mixed with each other. Religion choice is a matter of faith and
religious beliefs whereas politics is a matter of laws and regulations that entire population has to abide
regardless of there religious faith.

As in many foreign countries and in older India also the politics was in the hands of people whose
religion was in majority. They deal the Politics as their personal property.

This case is still happening in USA. As most of the people their are Christians or Baptists and all other
minority religions have very small say in the political demands of people.

Religion and politics are pole apart as the former depends on an individual's believes in a supernatural
power that governs human's life and destiny and latter is just a system of management a country
follows to manage its resources which in turn give power to some individuals.

However unfortunately religion is mixed with politics everywhere.

Be it Hitler who took several lives just because these people are not of his race or be it the mughal
emperor Aurangzeb who destroyed many temples and erected mosque in place of that and forced
people to follow islam or the britishers who divided India in parts just on the basis of religion.

Religion has been from years a favourite topics of leaders to enhance their vote bank. They use
sentiments of public and convert them into votes which in turn cause many fights, riots and enhance
terrorism in the country and finally a feeling of hatred comes between people which destroys our
national integrity.

However people should understand that politicians are just playing with public emotions for their self
benefit. No religion in this world says to hate any human just because of their religion. So we should
follow what our religion says not what the politicians are saying.

In my opinion, "religion should not at all be mixed with politics" because we live in a secular country,
which respects every religion and give freedom to every individual to follow its own religion. Thus, India
is a place of many religions living together and if politics be mixed with religion, then it will only lead to
fights, chaos and destruction. Politics forms the leader of the country, so if it got mixed with religion, the
voting would rather turn out to be religious fighting, and selecting the person of a particular religion,
inspite of an eligible person.

2ndly, religion is a practice which people follow as they trust in a particular way of praying to their god
and this should not come in between social issues, because inplace of giving value based politics, it will
lead to havoc.

given jobs, work, they cannot participate in the country's agricultural economics and some sections are
even so deprived that they have to end up eating mice due to poverty, here I change my mind and think
that. Yes religion should be mixed with politics so these sections can equally worship their god,

If you are a Hindu and you fell in love with a Pakistani girl, religion never allows you to marry but politics
does.

And if we talk about votes more than half of the population is illiterate they don't know goods and bad

There are negative and positive aspects of every thing but at least we should remain optimistic.

straight forward harm to the common man society, country. Religion is something which is totally
different from the politics. But there should also be no discrimination between the people taking the

Politics, on the other hand, is about real people, real laws (that are justifiable in the court of law) and

On the other hand, religion is something related to our faith. When religion is mixed with politics, we are
no longer able to see the benefits and needs of common people rather there emerges discrimination on

It can never be mixed with politics. But today many politicians are trying to augment their vote banks by

Politicians generally believe in "DEVIDE AND RULE" policy and they use it for their selfishness. And
