In todays gospel, the infant Jesus is the center of attention. Unfortunately, many
children are less valued today. They often take second place to convenience, career,
budget, activities and adult needs. The gospel reminds us that every child deserves
the opportunity to grown and become strong and to realize that the favor of God is
upon them. As we enter a new year ask: What obligations o I have to children that I
have yet to fulfill?
