Application fee: $1,695
Examination withdrawal fee (non-refundable): $310
Eligibility window extension Administration fee: $50. This fee is charged in addition to any examination fee increase since you previously applied for the
MCCEE. (The fees are non-refundable.)
Rescoring fee: $220 (by MCC) or $441 (in-person)

Tuition tax credit


The tuition tax credit applies to the MCC examinations taken in 2011 and thereafter. In spring 2013, the MCC took on the responsibility for NAC examination

registration. Candidates can therefore request tax credit receipts for the NAC examinations taken in 2014 and thereafter.
The tuition tax credit receipt will be made available for printing in late February of the year following the year in which the examination was taken (e.g., the
2013 tuition tax credit receipt will be available in early February 2014).

Key principles and significant costs in setting MCC exam fees

Offer exam as geographically close to the candidate as possible
Run exam centres effectively and efficiently to keep costs low
Each exam runs at cost recovery
Student and resident Members of Council provide input on costing and fee setting

Maintaining and improving the information technology infrastructure
For the MCCEE fees cover costs associated with delivering the exam globally at 500 centres worldwide
For the MCCQE Part II fees cover costs associated with the infrastructure required for a clinical exam standardized patients, physician examiners and
other exam centre staff

Fees for source verification services


All candidates are required to pay a one-time, non-refundable account fee of $260. The account fee covers:
storing of your medical credentials in a centralized electronic repository
secure document sharing capabilities with Canadian medical regulatory authorities and other organizations
access to knowledgeable support staff to help you navigate the verification process
a preliminary review of your documentation
Document fee
A $145 fee is charged for each medical credential document submitted for source verification.
Translation fee
A $78 fee is charged per page to be translated.
Payment method
The only methods of payment accepted are Visa or MasterCard credit cards (Interac and Visa debit cards are not accepted). Payments must be made
through your physiciansapply.ca account.
Prepaid or secured credit cards are also acceptable forms of payment. For more information, visit the Visa or MasterCard websites.
Cancellations
Only if the document has not yet been processed by MCC can a cancellation and reimbursement be requested. An administration fee of $50 will be withheld.

The MCC has been designated by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism to provide Educational Credential Assessments for Principal
Applicants intending to apply under the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) for immigration to Canada and for whom Physician would be the primary
occupation for their application to immigrate to Canada.
