What colour is the car? It is blue
Games and Activities
Stick planes- we will make aeroplane pictures using lolly sticks. A sky scene will also be
created in which to place the aeroplane.
Stop/go game- we will have a red and green light made like a traffic light. The children will
act out the different modes of transport and must stop with red and go with green.
Guess the sound- the children will listen to various sounds made by the different modes of
transport and call out what it is.

Phonics Activities
Monday writing practice Colour me
alphabet sheet letter j.
Tuesday - Crocodile lake. Lay out
flashcards as stepping stones. Have the
students start on one side of the lake and
take turns to cross to the other side. When
they step on a card they must say the
vocabulary. Add drama by adding sharks
or crocodiles in the water.
Wednesday - writing practice Colour me
alphabet sheet letter z.
Thursday - Letter board - make sight
words using a Letter board and/or letter
sound cards.
Place consonant sounds in the top row
and vowel sounds in bottom. Try making
small 2 letter words by moving the cards
one at a time to see what happens to the
word
Friday writing practice Colour me
alphabet sheet letter w.
Review the letter sounds j, z, w, v, y, z, q and blend these sounds into 2 letter
sight words: wa, vi, va, zi, ja, qu and yo
Writing Practice
This week we will be completing a
transport themed hand control,
worksheet where the children will
need to follow the direction of a road
with their pencil.
We will also continue with our letter
work in phonics where the children will
observe and practice the letters of this
week.
