BRIMOS: Bridge Monitoring System

BRIMOS is a remote bridge monitoring system, which

utilize fiber optical sensors.
The bridge embedded sensors gather girder gap, leaning,
distance, vibration and strain. All data are sent to the
central servers in every second.
The BRIMOS analytic application, which is running on the
central servers, can analyze the huge sensing data and
generate reports and alarms in real time.
It also can calculate vehicle weight for detecting overweight cars on the bridge.

ROADIS: Road Infrastructure Management

ROADIS is an integrated Road Infrastructure Management

system which is tightly integrated with GIS.
It manages all facilities under roads, including gas pipe,
electric pipe, water pipe, and of course public utility
common duct.
All related utility companies and local governments share
their underground facilities information by using ROADIS.
The facilities information is mainly used for maintaining the
assets and making construction plan to realize resilient
transport infrastructure.

EMIS: Emergency Medical Information System

The nation-wide comprehensive medical information

system for emergency response.
It manages number of injured people, severity levels of each
person, damaged status of medical institutions, DMAT*
status, DMAT* request and so on. Also, it has functions for
optimizing wide area patient transportations.
Japan MHLW has been operating this system from 1996.
